I´m from Argentina and during my teenage days i wanted to make publicity so I went to a casting and there were blondes, brunettes and all kind of people and they choosed me, they told me that the reason was because i was a red head (fake but those days i was) ,i really felt unique and i loved being a red head, you are only a few!. And children are usually cruel but not only with red heads so don´t worry about it.

Strange, my experience here in the states is that redheaded women are not teased much at all. In fact, people have always treated me as if I'm special because of my hair. Maybe it's all those I Love Lucy reruns we watch!

I love my red hair. It's different, unique and beautiful and I'd never wish for any other hair colour! :) When I had my hair dyed brown, I didn't stand out half as much and people tended to ignore me. When I went back to being a redhead, I got so much attention. You'll always have the idiots who have a problem with redheads but I think many people out there love it! I´m from Argentina and during my teenage days i wanted to make publicity so I went to a casting and there were blondes, brunettes and all kind of people and they choosed me, they told me that the reason was because i was a red head (fake but those days i was) ,i really felt unique and i loved being a red head, you are only a few!. And children are usually cruel but not only with red heads so don´t worry about it.

I love my red hair. It's different, unique and beautiful and I'd never wish for any other hair colour! :) When I had my hair dyed brown, I didn't stand out half as much and people tended to ignore me. When I went back to being a redhead, I got so much attention. You'll always have the idiots who have a problem with redheads but I think many people out there love it! Sure many women even dye their hair red like Maria Cross (Bree Van De Camp) from Desperate Housewives!

My hair's starting to darken and I don't think I count as ginger anymore. Kind of depressing because I'm worried it's not suitable for me to make ginger jokes anymore : (
I was blonde for my first 6 years and I just want to be able to settle into a hair colour for more than a decade lol.

I was going to grammar school with a ginger haired guy......everyone was making so much fun of him, they once brought him to tears.....I never made fun of him and I never understood why everyone else did despite my 8 years of age.......

Why should they? Maybe redheads happen to like their hair colour! Why should they dye their hair just because other people don't like it? People should be able to have any hair colour they want without being reduced to victimisation and discrimination.
