I will admit that i grew up in a different generation and that this song probably reflected normal social attitudes of the time, I will also say that thank god I did grow up in the 30's when this song was written. Today when someone says "no" it does not mean "convince me to say yes." it is really upsetting that it takes this guy alcohol and a possible date rape drug for her to say yes, especially when she knows she will lose her reputation for staying the night with him.
