@jdc4 What you are saying is correct for now, however, if I am not mistaken they produce like 100+ movies a year. Apart from Indians there audiences include people from Pakistan, Afganistan, middle-east etc. Studios such as Warner bros, Prudential etc, are instrumental in producing Indian movies. Lots of stereotypes are being broken with each passing day, there is new generation of film makers & viewers that are interested in Bollywood - all this at-least means it's on right track.

Now, do the same thing in India or whatever country you chose, and you'll get the same results. Regardless of what country you undertake this study in, you'll get the same results. Go to South Korea and ask them questions about India and you'll likely get similar response.
