  • this is honestly my favorite star trek game ever. I never managed to get it working on XP. :(

  • The Cardies sure could have used that Hutet (big ship) during the war. Might have turned the tide.

  • Oh yes, I remember this bug city and script errors... but if you could get it working it was tight, I remember playing for hours. I liked the game play better the ST: Legacy although the graphics weren't all there... wonder if it works for Win 7... good upload man... cyl

  • I've reuploaded the intro and some more DW stuff.

  • haha, those miranda class ships that you see in the clip are pure canon fodder. One beam and pats destroyed. Great game and intro!

  • @sovereign001 Same way as they were in the show.

  • @Fbueller129

jep, sacrifice of angels etc. Still great looking ships. I loved the atmosphere in this game. The typical characters that you could select as officers, the music, the voice acting. Damn, this was a true and proud star trek game. I felt i was fighting in the dominion wars.

  • One thing I hated about this game was that the Defiant was a weak ship. The weopons were weak.

  • @odcoolshark75 trust me its not the only game were the defiant was nothing more than a weak scout vessel.

  • its incompatable with the latest nvidia cards

  • @Smitty1586

Yochenhsieh, who is also behind SFC3's RExpansion mod, might be able to help you. Just google him.

  • It was a very good game considering all the shit star trek games that are out there.

  • I didn't like the game. I was bad.

  • now that was ace :-)

  • Even though the game wasn't too good, I still absolutely love this opening. It has good music, plenty of action, shows off some of the game's best original ships beautifully (the Achilles, Hutet and Strike Cruiser in particular), feels very much like one of the more action-packed DS9 episodes and a surprising amount has been done with the sub-par graphics they had to work with...

  • A request to giantdarkdragon: If you don't mind, could you please post the main theme music from this game! I really love that music!

    Please :D

  • Although it had not very good ratings, I absolutely loved this game! It had a sense of sadness (the music helped it a lot) and urgency to every mission (loved the briefings - made you feel you are part of something big).

Love the Achilles class - very slick and powerful ship!

  • this video blows my fucking mind every time i watch it

  • I wish somebody would make another next gen Star Trek game (battle sim) based on ST:TNG :(

  • Star Trek Bridge commander

  • That's got to be the most lethargic space battle of all time.

  • achilles class bows*

  • damn! that Hutet dwarfed even the Galaxy class! How big is that mother?

  • Approximately thirty kilometres, at least by my estimate.

  • dude...................a super star destroyer is 19 Km's long, the Hutet is NOWHERE near the size of an SSD.

    Try 1640 meters.

  • No it isnt even close to that size.

It is close to the size of a Federation Excalibur class (about 1500 meters at most )

  • sovereign(largest federation ship ever build) 700m in lenght hm... it is as small as an old venator class star destroyer. BIG GZ for the federation they cannot even build ships (the typhoon class was by far the best could handle several cubes on its own with its valkyrie fighters)

the so called excalibur wasnt a federation vessel in the series and even an neg var is far from as big as a ISD not to mention the SSD

  • Actually the Sovereign class ship is the second largest Federation starship. Although it is the longest, Galaxy class ships are much bigger in mass and size.

700 meters is big...believe me, if you would see a 700 meter ship hovering over your city in real life, you would change your point of view.

Star Trek ships are small compared to Star Wars ships because they were made to be that way. Gene Roddenbery didnt want the federation to build super huge ships...that the way it is ; )

  • KoutaSeto:

The reason 'Wars ships tend to be so massive though is that they generally run on fusion power, whereas Federation ships run on vastly more powerful and compact matter/anti-matter power systems... With 200 megatons in every photon torpedo compared with 1 megaton per shot from the largest "vapourise a small town" turbolasers with a (theoretical) maximum range of 5,000 kilometres, Federation ships don't need to be massive...

  • will this run on vista

  • nope

it hardly runs on XP. you can only use up to service pack 2 in my tests. and it must be just service pack 2. any other updates could possibly change it so the game will not run

  • I haven't been able to ge tthis game to run on anything except Windows 88

  • what you need is like a CLEAN install of windows XP with either no service pack and NO updates installed. or a clean install of windows XP with only Service pack 2 installed and no updates.

it runs perfectly for me under XP though (SP2)

  • @sjsharp2007

I was able to get it working on XP. I'll see if I can get it working in Win7.

  • @FekLeyrTarg would be gret if you can as I have win 7 on my newest machine but thus far I haven't been successful

  • @sjsharp2007

It doesn't seem to work on Vista and Seven. :(

But it works on XP. And SCWarpII can work on all OSes.

  • @FekLeyrTarg I've never got it to work on XP only win 98 on my old computer

  • @sjsharp2007 and even then I had to play arund with the computer's settings to make it comply

  • @sjsharp2007

Have you installed the 1.04 patch and tried out the compartibility mode?

  • This reminds of why I stopped playing Dominion Wars. Bridge Commander and Starfleet Command 3 are so much better than it. For an intro it's done so badly. Every intro I've ever seen has better graphics than the game. I forgot the ingame graphics but if that's the intro they must be terrible. And that achilles although uncanon is just awesome but not in this game. It's at it's best in BC KM1.0.

  • Incorrect the achilles class was the most powerful federation ship in the game but it cost so many command points that its very difficult to get

  • Did I say it wasn't? But it is better in KM1.0 for BC as it feels better there. More balanced and natural other than a god ship.

  • Actually I think the GCS and dominion super carrier thing were about equal if not slightly superior to the archilies if i recall correctly... archilies was a souped up class 4 ship, GCS was class 5. Still you had to put stuff like quantum torp upgrade on the GCS while it came standard on the archilies.

  • it`s a damn good game, but i can`t run it... it runs terribly on my PC

  • this game is good... all i need is Starship Creator Warp II, i can add more ships

  • I've recently got it but I've had no luck running it. It's installed.

  • lol. i beat that mission 3 hours after posting this, but thank you anyway kind sir. :)

  • don't try to take on a huntet with 2 battlecursiers as escort with only a havaly dam galaxy and 2 saber and a steamrunner they'er good ship but i barly won my saber was down to 19 cwer and 6 were enginers

  • I'm so shattered this game doesn't work on my PC

I've tried patching it and everything....

  • can some1 post a video on how to beat dominion mission 6? it keeps saying i failed when one freighter goes to far away from every1 else.

  • stop for a day or 2 then try doing it, it toke me 2 weeks to beet it

  • I whooped this games ass like you wouldn't believe!

  • rape up the exhuast manufold

  • And did you notice there was another Starfleet ship in there that was made just for the intro movie and doesn't appear in the game?

  • Yea, even 3, one of them is first one that appears at 0:50, other one is between galay and steamrunner at 0:56 and dunno if its the same, but maybe third one is second one that got PWND by hutet (1:15)

  • The Ship at 0:56 is definately a Miranda class starship.

I think the Miranda, Excelsior and Nebula should have been featured in the game because they were the most seen ships in DS9 seassions 6 and 7 during the Dominion War battles.

  • the miranada and excelsior class got buched in the war

  • i think the third one is a k'tinga

  • "Little?"

  • tough little ship!

  • I love the Intro! Only tow things are weird: The cardassian Hutet seems not to have the most advanced targeting systems (It hit Defiant-Class two times!). And second, in my point of view the Achilles is far too powerful, even for an "modern warship". Have you seen how many Quantum launchers it had? Enough for three Sovereigns. Well they are both non-canon, so it doesn`t matter.

  • No, hidekis shot it, hutet didn't shot it even once

  • Bridge Commander is the best Star Trek game and you can control the Achilles and Hutet in BC with Mods too :D

  • BEST Trek game? You gotta go back to the old 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites games starring TOS, and the Final Unity game with TNG.

  • Klingon Academy should be good too, but i never played this games :(

  • GUYS GUYS BIRTH OF THE FEDERATION!!!!

  • Achilles kinda reminds me of Intrepid-class(Voyager) only it looks much cooler. Hutet looks impressive only cuz of its size, but its as ugly as the rest of Cardassian vessles. Btw this is the best Star Trek game ever if you ask me, Legacy sux.

  • Its an Achilles-class vessel.

  • does someone know what kind of ship it was who saved the defiant?

  • Like OldandCranky said, Achilles class, no canon (meaning, on any of the Star Trek shows) appearance. But it seems like a pretty cool idea for a Federation Warship beyond the Defiant class. I wonder how well the Achilles would do against a Borg cube?

  • The intro was good, but the game unfortunately was rushed and unfinished when released.

Would have been interesting to see the Cardassians have that huge starship and the Federation with that new Warship (the one that saved the Defiant, or just another Defiant-class warship, from destruction) during the Deep Space Nine series, but I don't think the writers had that much interest in the graphic design of the ships.

  • The game came out after the series had already ended, unfortunatly. :(

The game was indeed rushed, but I thought it was far better than the most recent Star Trek "Legacy" which was also rushed out, and was made using a five year old game engine, the same Engine that was used for Armada 2...

Mad Doc software are truly pathetic, Simon And Schuster atleast brought out a decent DS9 game with The Fallen, too bad there will never be another DS9 game. :(

  • the hutet and achillies class arent canon star trek i think but if they ate they r proabaly designed to fight the dominion dreadnaughts

  • That game kicked ass!

  • Too bad its difficult to run this game on better drivers now.

  • ya i know someone should fix that

  • yes they should

  • i wish i could lol i cant i would not know where to start

  • The music's good.
