  • I thought he skipped few steps for firstimers who try to learn to cook chowder.

  • While I'm sure this is a tasty chowder it deviates quite a bit from the traditional clam chowder. New England food is supposed to be simple with few seasonings. All you need for clam chowder is saltport or bacon, onions, potatoes, clams, clam juice and cream. If that's too plain you can add some salt to bring out the briny taste of the clams.

  • can i exchange the bacon with another kind of meat?

  • @nmassar why not!? As a stranger told me cooking is easy you just put in what you think tastes good, and experiment from there. :) Bacon is SO good though!
