@ScottLewisNJ P90 in my opinion.. P80 has high pixels and 100 has the good zoom but p90 is kinda like the hybrid with 12 megapixels others have 10 and 14

Read the review on CameraLabs, overall image quality is bad, fringing everywhere at max zoom, no HD video.

Then you got Canon SX20 and Panasonic FZ35 with near DSLR images with HD video, and both at the same price range at the P90. I actually got the FZ35 for cheaper than the P90, and it is better than the Nikon in every aspect.

If the rumor of the upgrade of P90 is true, let's hope it can compete with the top 2.

I am disappointed that I bought P90. I bought the camera seeing an advertisement of a picture of high flying birds, no way that could have been used with P90. My next camera will not be Nikon,I will go for Canon

Guys, I bought this too, and have been very disappointed with overall image quality, esp in low light. I've been shooting with a Panasonic-Lumix FZ-30 since 2005 and I did multiple scenes, multiple exposures, multiple ISO's, etc. I have found the Nikon P90 to be inferior in all photos. It has a nice zoom range and also a nice 3" LCD. But it has NO hotshoe and the photos are extremely over-processed! Zooming in at all in P90's photos shows how awful it truly is.

I have to agree I bought this to replace my aging Sony DSC-H2 @ 6 Megapixel And I am sorry to say that the sony takes a better picture.

This p90 at any iso over 100 has bad noise issues! Beware! this is not worth the $400 price tag.

True. The Iso automatic works like shit. Noise everywhere. Weird blue and pink pixels in your shots. I returned it and got my money back. Thank God for that.

I just got the P90 today!!! Had fun with it all day and am impressed with the zoom on the camera. Very nice camera if you want more than just an average point and shoot, and dont want to get into a SLR this is totally the one to get!! P90 is awesome

Sent it back and get the new Lumix GH1 with HD video and compression. The bad thing is that it is going to be close to or above the $1000 marker. Also it is not released on the market yet. Don't get G1 it does not have any video at all! (if video is important to you)

the sony dsc-hx1 looks pretty good too, but the lumix is gonna be around £1000, which is darn expensive just to have the HD video, i have already the sanyo xacti hd1010 hd camcorder so dont really need this in a camera

Then definitely get the G1, get the full size SLR fourth thirds sensor. With the the new 40-140mm zoom (equivalent to 10X on the canon sx1). You also get the advantage of hand on manual focusing and zooming, which i love. This new Sony is also very interesting but it has the tiny compact camera sensor. Advantage is that high zooming in a compact package if telephoto is important for you. Drawback is noise, lack of clarity, poor low light performance that the G1 i think will be superior.
