I wish I could love these as much as I wanted to, but they stained the whites that were next to the bag in the (front loading) washer, so I had to take those back up 7 floors, wet, get the stains out (of a bed sheet and towel, the sheet brand spanking new, both perfectly white)&washed everything again because it made, in warm water (never hot), my bright white socks get a peach tint from them. They didn't take out the smell from 2 workout shirts or deodorant(they sud a bit but don't clean).
@122172639 Did you try contacting the company to ask for help? I have been using soap nuts for years and have not had any problems like this, if I had I would stop using them too (LOL). They will dull your whites after many many washes simply because there is no optic brightener, but they shouldn't turn your clothes peach. I also recommend boiling them on the stove to make a liquid, I find the soap content is higher that way and works well on my gym clothes.
@farneyjrify They sent a replacement-using it for dishes as I can just shake them in a jar. Boiling them down would distribute the brown/peach so everything would dull over time instead of making it concentrate where the bag was, but I teach-work&volunteer@clinic-sleep-repeat; I don't want to be cleaning my 2 decent breaks each year! Baking soda+a bit of vinegar's actually ok for 99% of my stuff&$1.50/bar clear glycerine soap makes things soft; can't get much cheaper/more natural.
