Nowt wrong this the old grey matter matey that's where the big, salty ICI factory is. I also seem to remember that the big, posh, beamy looking house right next to it is the works sports and social club.

Such happy times! My husband's family had a converted nesting lifeboat called 'Mary' on the Leeds-Liverpool canal in the 60s/70s. In 1993 we took our own children on a narrowboat holiday. They've both travelled the world since but say there's been nothing to touch their canal boat holiday!

Thank you kindly, we do seem to have a bit of a knack of attracting good weather on our annual pilgrimages back to Dear Old Blighty. Mind you, we're counting our lucky stars that we're nowhere near the place at the moment with the monsoons shutting down much of the canal system.
