@christrails It´s a 2007. Mine pretty easy to start, 2 - 3 kicks and it starts. When it was down to -30 C I probably kicked it 20 times before the first ignition. But at 0 C and down to -5 its pretty easy. Anything above 0 C it start by 2 - 3 kicks:) Thanks man! Looking forward to your videos:)
@martinmyrene Yeah the temps in Australia aren't that bad and should be good for me. They range from 5c to 40c. The owner of the bike I'm looking to buy said it takes him 2 - 3 kicks :) If you would like to help me by maybe checking it out from the pictures or something and see if theres anything I should be worried about? tiny(dot)cc/e7vny. youtube doesn't like links for some reason.
@christrails Yeah that I did understand:p Just didn't know where I was supposed to type it in, but got it now. Looks like a good bike to me! Very nice:) But there are things you always need to check of course. Look for cracks in the engine case, cracks in general all over, oil leaks from suspension, engine case etc. And try it before you buy it, make sure you lay it flat out all gears so you know that all gears in the gearbox is working as it should.
@christrails And if your still in denial after testing and so on, take it to a yamaha center and let them check it out. Then you are sure. Hope I helped:)
@martinmyrene Ohk thank you very much :) I will do everything you said to check it out. btw would you ride your bike (YZ450F) in the mountains or a trail? can it handle the trails?
@christrails No probs:) No problem with trails or anything but keep in mind that a 450 likes to be ridden hard. If you are going to ride enduro which will make you stall and idle a lot, riding only first and second gear it will overheat and "cook". But to improve that theres parts to help it cool down faster and even some special coolant which isn`t water, but some other liquid stuff that don`t heat up as fast as water. A 250F is a better bike then if your riding alot of trails and enduro:)
@christrails Yeah, I saw that. But that is a 250 pitbike right? Way slower than a yz250f i believe cause a yz250f got some torque:) Increasing the idle rpm will only make it overheat faster I think, not sure tho:)
@martinmyrene I don't know, I think so but I have riden a YZ250F (my cousin) and its not that much faster than my bike :S The YZ450F wont overheat to much will it? I mean your in lower temps than where I live so wont the engine be working harder for where you live because your temps make the engine colder? causing it to overheat because its not warm enough? correct me if im wrong.
@christrails At summer we have about the same temperatures as you have (up to 30C), and its then I have the problems with it overheating. At winter, almost never. But if you think a yz250f isn`t so much faster than yours, go for a 450. I cant decide that for you:p I`m sure you`re not gonna regret buying a 450 tho, great bikes:)
@martinmyrene Yeah, many people have recommended me these bikes :) love Yamaha's. It was either the WR450F or the YZ450F. but the WR450F doesn't have fuel injection. the 2010 YZ450F has fuel injection. only the 2012 WR450F has fuel injection but I don't feel like dropping $10,990 AUD on a new bike for a while until I get my bike license and ride it on the road.
@martinmyrene I bought my YZ450F to use on ice and fast trails. Also have a YZ 250 which i`m using when riding enduro, because that one never overheats:p But are looking in to buy a YZ250F sooner to use at endurotracks and in the woods/mountains and such:)
What model YZ450F is this? I am looking at buying one soon. I am looking at the 2010 model as it has fuel injection :)
how is this to start from a cold start? 2 kicks?
anyway mad video, when I get my YZ, I will be recording with my go pro hero2 as well :)

@martinmyrene I have a 250 now, not fast enough through the trails :P can't you increase the idle rpm though?
