Looks awesome!!...but the kite itself is not 50 meters (european meters) .....more around 20 meters plus minus... -or how do you measure a kite? I am not really familiar with kites, so I am just curiuos as to the size/measuring method:) looks fantastic, though:)

@nickybendix its the metres square that the kites are measured in so it wont be 50m long but the surface area may be 50 m2

there is a device from peter lynn called a kite cat, its basically a mini catamaran that u use a kite to power it

that's awesome, Don ! My experience with the old Naish Hindenbergs (23.5 meter ARX) was that the kite's weight was more than the light wind could keep her in the air(6-8 knots or less). When you DID get enough wind to fly it consistantly, a 17 or 18 would suffice. I guess if you're pulling an outrigger with 5 guys, a 30 or a 50 would be sweet until you have to relaunch it off the water in light air.
