  • actually the New Zealand accent is derived from the Scottish and English accent. But mostly Scottish :)

  • haha love it! xD

  • You awr prutty

  • Your eyes scare me...

Mom there's a monster that wants to hit me with its rhythm stick!!!!

  • @simplesav Don't you mean, "ruthum stuck"??? haha laugh my bloody ankles off

  • First of all kiwi's don't sound like that and second of all you sound like you're taking a hard SHUT!

  • xD It took me like six times before I understood the joke at the end!

  • Why do aussies care about kiwi lingo? Do they want us to sound like them? Its what makes us unique :)

  • We don't say "the ket set on the met" at all actually. Nor have I ever heard anyone say fush & chups or mulk.

  • Comment removed

  • Can't help reading all the comments in a New Zealand accent...

  • no one fuckn says fush and chups or mulk its miuk ( i cant write it) and your subtitles aren't even closee broo

  • we do not say FUSH and CHUPS

  • Miss V...You are gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!

  • Maori language (Te Rio) is in there aswell

  • @kalebird *cough* Te Reo *cough*

  • For the northern English... You couldn't sound more different... Look up a Yorkshire accent..

  • shes funny

  • she looks like an annoying bitch

  • ok she's clearly wasted

  • whenever a foreigner mocks our accent it sounds like to us (New Zealanders) like they're pronouncing i as u.

  • I am a New Zealander and i have to say that we FOR CHRIST SAKES WE DONT SAY FUSH AND CHUPS,WE SAY FISH AND CHIPS AND WE NEVER USE A U FOR I.

  • Kiwis talking quickly LOL LOL LOL...no offence but damn you guys speak slowly! Im south african living in NZ and keep on getting told that I must slow down to a snails pace

  • @leeannvh .....um we ask you to speak slowly because south african english sounds foreign to us, like indian english. we speak faster amongst ourselves

  • @leeannvh hahaa its just cos most of us play too much rugby. i talk quickly though lol

  • peenal colony. lol

  • LMFAO! LOVEIT!

  • what is the name of the song at the end of the video ? can someone tell me please?

  • Nice eyes. And nice "i"s :P

  • haha the youtube captions thing gets so confused trying to decode this (im a kiwi by the way)

  • Lol don't get confused. I'm English, and because of my South-Western accent I kinda pronounce it like this

"Orit mate you want some waugh'eR"

Annoys me how I overpronounce my R's but I cannot say T's!!

  • Very nice, I like it!!

  • Fucking terrible...

  • The kit sit on the mit? No kiwi talks like that. lol

  • @UpwardsFallings Kiwis actually say the kit sit un the mit and drank has mulk. I should know being here for 45 years and find it hilarious.Fairy for ferry showen for shown, bist for best, deary for dairy. Its one hell of a weird accent that muxes, oops mixes the vowels.

  • @jurrassicsparks Since you have a Lancashire accent, which is a British accent, thus more rounded, short vowels will sound like an "I" in YOUR EARS. The Kiwis say "ket set on the met" - 'I' is way too high. "Bet" and "pet" will sound "bit" and "pit", not "cat" and "mat".

I hear Kiwis every day (from shows) and they DO NOT SOUND that exaggerated.

  • @UpwardsFallings i dont have a Lancashire accent any more,it went years ago.I should know how Kiwis sound, ive been here 45 years.Different area are broader. The poorer suburbs are broader,Mangere,Otara,Henderson,Massey. The Kiwis replace an e for an i, hence bist, wist. They replace an i for a u,hence mulk and bulder, milk and builder,Add a vowel in shown, known, thrown and say showen, knowen and throwen. Not all Kiwis are that bad but a hell of a lot are.

  • @jurrassicsparks Yeah, that's true.

But they don't place an 'I' for an 'A'. As in, "mat" and "fat" will not sounds like "mit" and "fit". lol

  • @UpwardsFallings One of the worst at this is a guy you may have seen on tv.I see you are from Aussie,i know hes been on a few ads.Hes a chef called Richard Till and he has a diabolic accent. He introduces himself as Im Rachard Tall.Hes a Kiwi on ads here and i know hes been on Aussie ads.My sister lives in Brisbane and when she saw him on telly she thought it was a piss take on kiwis but hes for real.Oh by the way, they do say mit and fit for mat and fat.Another one is fairy for ferry .

  • @jurrassicsparks Well, I watch Kiwis everyday, they say met and fet for mat and kat.

  • @UpwardsFallings One of the worst are words like care and share, kiwis say kea and sheer. Here is a kiwi sentence, I wint on the fairy to git sam mulk to gav to tha bulder,he pat at an tha fradge.

I hope you can understand this.My wife isnt quite as bad as this but believe me i know quite a few that do speak like this.

  • @jurrassicsparks Yeah, I agree with that. That's true.

But except for "cat" and "mat", they don't put an 'I' instead.

  • @UpwardsFallings what shows do u hear kiwis off

  • Respond to this video... I find Kiwis cant take a bit of critisism,i grew up with a broad lancashire accent in Aussie and NZ and got ribbed all the time.I knew i had an accent and the broadness has vanished but i make a point of not sounding Kiwi. Its an accent that sounds weird, especially if you are overseas and hear a Kiwi. The wost sounding Kiwis seem to be on the news as journalists and sports announcers.Totally illiterate.

  • bro we are the best :D

  • Try 'hit the egg with the spatula'.

  • What language do nzers speak? Hebrew :)

  • @pvrkhk Hahahahaha! Brilliant!

  • most annoying accent ever

  • @Mrgyrodude that's rich coming from an Australian, considering your accent is exactly like ours except like you're pissed off all the time and have a perpetual cold. Really though, I'm not dissing the Aussie accent - I think it's nasal-tastic!

  • How come when she pronounces a New Zealand phrase such as Fish and Chips, it sounds NOTHING like when she speaks normally?

  • It makes me laugh how Aussies who try to mock the New Zealand accent always fail miserably. They think they've got it spot on and think they're hilarious, but in reality they sound and look like idiots!

  • Doo yer wunt sum fush nd chups?

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful eyes. beautiful

  • Your face is WAY to close to the camera. I feel violated.

  • she looks like 1 of thoes bobble head dolls ! thats not what we sound like. kit that set on the meet?

  • its so true i try to explain the vows to people they still don't get it. i think its coz we use Maori vows maybe????

  • Comment removed

  • um im a kiwi and i sound comletly differnt she talks way to slowly.

  • I'm Kiwi and i have to say that this is exagerated because we don't sound like that lol

  • vary own nu zeland accunt..Its a very hilarious accent.BULDER,MULK,SHOWEN,BIST WIST,VARY,FAIRY for very and ferry. All the vowels are muxed ap.

  • thats what im thinking too @FezFishCustard

  • I find a Kiwi accent more 'nasally' than an aussie accent. The "Cat that Sat on the Mat" example @ 1:46 demonstrates this nasal sound compared to Australian and British accent.

  • I can tell the difference between australian and kiwi accents. They are totally different. I prefer kiwi though :)

  • can anyone tell me the name of the song at the end of the video?

  • lol " good nuight" :D

  • Love your accent >w< and your eyes are very pretty...-not creepy at all-

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. i got the joke. i feel special.

btw u look like this chick i know...... or "a chuck u know?" lol

  • I love the australian and the new zealand accents!

  • Im australian and i loved how you tried doing the australian accent :D

I <3 the New Zealand accent

  • I'm a kiwi and honestly most of us don't talk like that. I'll admit that some kiwis do, but the majority of kiwis that I know actually don't. Some of the things you're saying are completely true, like that we talk too quickly and sound like we're mumbling. But I don't say "mulk".

  • I'm from New Zealand I can tell the difference between a NZ accent and an Aussie accent.

  • The main thing I notice is that NZs also pronounce "E"s as "I"s.

    So Derek comes out Diruk.

  • Oh god, is the subtitles what we really sound like?

  • ALL CAPS... SEXY

  • All things aside, I'm NZ- irish and you all can imagine how freaking sexy yah know my accent is. InFACT the new Zealand accent is one of the worlds sexiest accents. If not the most.

  • it sounds australian. Anyone who isnt from australia or new zealand cant tell the difference at all, theirs only slight differences really. Not like in Britain where scottish, irish , english and welsh are clearly very different. Even in england 15 minutes down the road you get a clear change of accent.

  • @tripz123

    U're wrong.

I'm a Londoner & can tell very easily the difference between Aussie & Kiwi.

  • @bootsamou fair enough but to be fair there is not really a clear cut difference, if you played the clip to people from a native speaking English country ( not from oz or NZ ) and didn't tell them where the girl in video was from I am betting the majority of people would say she is from Australia.

  • well I am a kiwi and I think that only some of the things you are saying are true-especially that we talk quickly because that is definitely true

  • New Zilnd ? i blame the gumint

  • Haha apparently I have a preeeettty bad kiwi accent :/

    Oh well!

  • The difficulty I believe the different English speaking countries have in understanding each other are vowel shifts and running together of words in sentences. If your run a whole bunch of words with vowel shifts together, our English speaking starts sounding incomprehensible. That goes for British, North Americans, Australians, South Africans, and New Zealander.

  • @PIANOPHUNGUY And Indians. They make an I into an E sound. Slippers are sleepers. If more ppl would get that it would make their IT experience easier. haha

  • Comment removed

  • I'm french canadian and quite honestly I think english people all sounds the same, the only accent I'm able to hear are the british one and the scottish one

  • @NoFrag0 mate you dont know what your on about, how can you say that a geordie or scouse accent sounds the same as a cockney or queen speaking english ?? joker

  • i hat videos with noise in the backgrounds explaining something i can't understand because i'm not born "english speaking". however, i did laugh a lot, loved the joke and you simply must be a great person in real life so i cluckd lauke

  • fush nd chups?

  • U look like katy perry

  • @missverstaendnis OMG! I think i'm in love with your eyes... or with you?)) (^_^)

Cheerrrs frrrom frrozen Russian Syberrria(*reed wizz terrrribol holiwud akcent* LOL)!

  • The cat thing is offensive and totally wrong.

  • Fush'n'chups for diner we dont put emphasis on the 'u' and FISH'N'CHIPS is our national food so if we DID say it that way it would be called that!!!

  • I clicked this because it has a kitten for a thumbnail

  • @BeakyRed lol, me too! or should i say, "lul me touu".

  • Pissed aside - Chemical which kills insects Pigs - for hanging out washing with Pump - to act as agent for prostitute Pug - large animal with a curly tail Nin tin dough - computer game Munner stroney - soup Min - male Mess Kara - Eye makeup McKennock - person who fixes cars Mere - mayor Leather _ foam produced from soap Lift - departed Kiri Pecker - famous aussie businessman Kittle crusps - Potatp chips Jumbo - pet name for someone called jim Jungle bills - christmas carol
  • I really enjoyed your video and the joke

  • Hey bro, do us kiwi's really talk like that?

Im pretty sure we say "fish and chips" not "fush and chips" but maybe i should just spend a year in another country and come back and bobs ur uncle.

  • HAHAHA good bitch.

  • i hate your video :D ;)

  • LOL! I love the subtitles! Thanks for uploading :-)

  • haha we do that with our u's as a joke fucktard! ZING!

  • haha i love how europeans try to tease our accent but we came from europe

  • we dont say fush and chups

  • @petsbooksmovies Oh yes you do.

  • @cadillacjim75 may some do the ones that come from over ozzi way but most NZs yer we may not sound all USA like but she sound more ozzi then NZ when she said FUSH and CHUPS then NZs and atlest we dont say S*X for SIX like some do lolz

  • @petsbooksmovies oh no we dont she sound like an ozzi when she siad that and we dont sound like that just like we dot say s*x for six ok so maybe we dont say some things crazy and not USA like but she sound more ozzi then NZ when she said fush and chups

  • lol....love it and yup she does sound like a kiwi except when she uses the u's in some words like fush and chups. now i may not be a linguistic but i'm preeetty sure we don't pronounce fish n chips that way lol...i certainly don't anyway lol....love this...tumeke girl tumeke

  • My family spent 4wks in oz & not 1 of them spoke like that. Wherever u got that idea from well, you must be a half breed. Did it ever occur to anyone that maori's try to impersonate other accents like pacific islanders (no offence my P.I bro's), indians, asians etc. We've adopted their accents in ours, so that's probably where the confusion comes in. Ok my oi's r gunna hava slep now, chur mean maori mean..........

  • Guys calm down, she's probably from Dunedin or someplace down there. Further south in NZ, thicker the accent.

  • I don't speak like that, dumb bitch. I'm guttered you think of us like that. But sweet as make a video making us out to morons.

  • I have never heard a Kiwi say Fush 'n' Chups. I have never heard anyone (Kiwi)pronounce some of the words like they are written on the video, but otherwise "Sweet as, bro'"

  • you can't do accents full stop, how did you even get so many views? silly girl!

  • good video and your very cute lol

  • Katy Perry's long lost sister. :)

  • LOL new zealands dont sound liek that

  • & anotha fing FUSH & CHUPS? real bad attempt @ trying 2 cross 2 accents on ur part - u no the KIWI & AUZZIEZ accent if u blend the 2 thats wot it would sound like, ggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr wonda if my m8 will give me her video camera & i'l upload 2 this 2 prove 2 u exactly how we pronouce shit klown

  • whea exactly did u get the "we say HUT 4 HIT"? we prounce the i's as e's, u no as the MAORI say the vowels........u'v made us out 2 sound like idiots, we no wot a HUT is, its anotha word 4 home, r u truly kiwi or dreaming u r 1? the only fing u got rite is & i'm very guilty of is MUMBLING & TALKING 2 FAST, the rest is ummmmm crap or how would u say it? crop mayb?

  • Q. How can the kiwi accent be explained by a german?

    A. Because it cant.

  • i like her eyes :O

  • bwahahahaha, so true. I think our accent is smashing. so entertaining. this video's not a disgrace, like some have said, it;s just the way things are.

  • ok, marry me.

  • bad news folks ... YOU do sound like that bro!!!!!! I work with ten kiwis and a few maoris (?) BUT hey the most important thing to me is ..........

you can not spell ANZAC with out an N or a Z

  • Oh yeah... and to those Kiwis at home (NZL) or abroad who strongly disagree with her vid and worry how what non-Kiwis think of our accent. Shut up! You haven't been made fun of until you leave NZ's comfy shores and move to live amongst non-Kiwis. Luhke I GUVE A SHeT WHuT THEH THuNK!!!

  • Love the video. I dont get how some supposed "Kiwis" here could bury their collective heads in the sand and say we dont sound that way. Be proud of how different we sound. I LOVE IT! I think it sounds cute and damn HOT. Especially from a Kiwi chick.

  • Lol I'm a kiwi and trust me, when you live away from home, you really do notice how much we do sound like that guys! I think it's cool and unique, most people can't even understand us, yet we can understand each other perfectly.

  • I can't beluve everywun has thur knuckers un a twust... uf yu lusten closly to a Nyu Zulandur speak we do sound luke that.. I'm A kiwi, born and bred and can say that accents are weird things.. But it doesn't matter what we sound like, we are still people.

  • We do not fucking speak like that!, jeez with that comparison of the NZ accent and the ausralian she made us sound like a bunch of fucking downies

  • @jtaimeht Kiwi's are a bunch of fucking downies.

  • we dont all pronounce our us as is but i defiantly agree with the mumbleling some times i can have a conversation with my mates with out evan understanding myself

  • Yes, most of new zealanders (kiwis) have terrible accent, especially youths. I remember how it was hard to listen to them :) Anyway, I wish them all the best!

  • click like if you didnt watch this shit all the way through

  • Lol...

  • Hit yourself with a rhythm stick. Those exaggerations of accents are just silly, no one sounds like that in new zealand.

  • @jetdave03 wanna bet? my hairdresser does.

  • Lussen to Green MP Sue Bredfud whose vowels are fletter then a pencake, bro.

  • new zealanders are the 2nd english speaking people in the world....

so get that into your skull. i don't have any apology. we; the new zealanders speak english more than the Americans, cite me right!

for your information we are 97.85% english speaking country.

  • @stevechuks89 except that a few hispanic americans(mostly the ones born to illegals) tend to not even want to be seen as american, so that skews the english speaking stats a little.

  • Who cares, she's cute.

  • what the hell? Not every Kiwi speaks like that! I'm a New Zealander. We do make shortcuts with english and we really talk fast too, but not every freaking kiwi sounds like that. I hate taking short cuts personally

  • Holy crap, are people SOOOO DUMB that they don't understand that the exaggerated 'Kiwi' accent Miss V. presents in this video is a rough representation of how our accent sounds to foreigners? You would never notice this because, for the most part, you've heard and have become accustomed to the Kiwi accent most of your life. Just like you think your accent is 'normal', people from other countries would feel the same way with theirs, and likewise would resent the bad attempts at their own accents.

  • you make us sound like retards

  • ...YOU FCUKEN DUMB BIITCH!!! ... WE DON'T TALK / SOUND LIKE THAT YOU FCUKEN RETARD ...

  • Hhahahahaha, I love all the haters going " We dont talk like that!" Aaaahh, as someone who works professionally with language and accents....YES.WE.DO.

We obviously dont hear it cos were all talking to each other and obviously some peoples accent is stronger than others but it is how we talk and more importantly, how others HEAR us. (Beached as anyone? Wanna chup? Na, I only eat planktun)

  • @HeadshotNZ ...but I say it like FISH, not fush

  • @HeadshotNZ agreed

  • Nw zlndrs spk lk txt mssg.... No vowels and nonsense slang like "ch'lly b'n".

  • She,s hot but as a kiwi I can say that I dont talk like that. Giv me your numba girl and ill teach yu some kiwi. LOL

  • To all non New Zealanders - this is not how we all speak!

  • this is blasphemy! lol

  • Wtf is 'normal' pronounciation? Isn't 'normal' dependent on where you're from? Go fuck yourself! This video's embarrassing.

  • hey bitch that made this video. fuck off. nobody talks like that. except retards like you. and Australians when trying to imitate NZers.

  • we dont actully say fush and chupps thts fucken stupid we say it normally

  • New Zealanders have 6 with sheep.

  • @GrumpSkull Fuck up cunt, you obviously have no idea about new zealand, maybe the farmers in the south island do, but in the north island we are like any other normal country.

We do not speak like a fuckhead like this, and we are mostly british with a touch of australian, get your fuckin facts right..

  • @rabdamn

    wtf are you on about?

"we are mostly british with a touch of australian"

    Get your fucking facts right

  • @pimpskatar Actually they were right, I don't know what your on about but I was talking about this video.. Fuck yourself you bitch australian..

  • @rabdamn

I'm a New Zealander you dumbass

  • @pimpskatar Aren't I so dumb? Your the guy who doesn't know anything about their own country..

  • @rabdamn

Just because we come from there doesn't mean we are mostly british... maybe we also have a touch of American because they speak english aswell?

  • @pimpskatar I said we are mostly british though?

    <
