I've grown to love Zangief as a player over the last decade.

One of my favorite incarnations is the Z-Man in Capcom vs SNK 2. The N-Groove dodge maneuver is Zangief's best friend, since pretty much any heavy attack or well-timed fireball dodge = instant Spinning Piledriver or even Super Piledriver! His Flying Powerbomb is great, too.

The error lies in the wrong explanation of how the move is performed

Beautiful spinners at 1:05, 2:10, 2:53, 5:35! Great comeback against Cammy, she is a good counter to Zangief. Man, that spinner at 5:06 looked like it was from 5 inches away! Loved how he used the running grab against Dhalsim, which is an important weapon! Another great thing I saw was Pony's mixing it up, sometimes jump attack and just grab, other times 1 tap, 2 taps, etc. This is also very important for Zangief players to use! Also, some of those spinners against Balrog were ridiculous!

Well...if you must know...Balrog is suppose to be M. Bison because in the Japanese version of older Street Fighters, he is technially suppose to be a clone Mike Tyson. But since that name was already taken, it was changed in the States due to copyrights, not to mention it would confuse people. Because of this, Vega was renamed Bison and the spanish ninja is renamed Vega in the U.S. Their original names in every Japanese arcade will always be Bison (Boxer), Vega (Dictator) and Balrog(Ninja).

I think zangief's a great character really love him in sfiv. He's always been slow and he has to get close to oppontents but he also has an attack that basicly allows him to walk through almost anything, that spin of his is amazing easy to execute to.

Then you'd be wrong? He is low tier in ST, pretty sure he was low tier in most versions of SSF. He's low tier in every rendition of MvC/MvSF series. He's been consistently low tier.

The only reason his low tiered status isn't as noticable in ST is because he's CAPABLE of dishing out an ass whooping, but he's still on a disadvantage. ST just has great balance.

The only game I can remember Gief being high tier in is A3. No other ones come to mind though I might just be forgetting.
