you can also use an oil patch to make the hag slip into the water at the docks, the game still wont end till you do what the quest wants you to do though
I figured it out by pure luck. (No mods are necessary here!)
I was replaying the last mission out of nostalgia, and harassing the Hag heavily, like setting her on fire with oil. While in South Quarter, she apparently stepped down from a rat while I was throwing oil, and ended up on the ground!
It took me forever to figure out how I had done that, but once I did, I laughed my ass off.
This game has always been quite underrated, simply because it has a few engine and/or sound glitches; but when working this game is an experience to die for.
i replayed this game last winter just to experience the Shalebridge Cradle again. that was THE single greatest level in level-design and ambiance in any game so far. lots of other games have great ambiance too, but if i had to pick one level, then it would be the Cradle
Bye bye keepers, I was definitely tired of them and the glyphs by the end of the game. I'd honestly like a more open-ended Thief game for 4, keeping in mind the factions you can belong to, and perhaps more. Hammerites all the way. :D (They're the best allies in 3 by their killing skills alone!)
Maybe the creators just made gamall have only two functions? To walk / run , and attack .. Because they never counted on anyone trying this? They thought everyone would run scared.. Perhaps?
Good work. It's funny the simplest of things can defeat the worst enemies. Great news about Thief 4 too, lets hope they use a better engine and keep the atmosphere of the originals.
ok i belive u but i did try all this to see if i could kill her and it was on pc, and i never got anywhere, maybe the bug was noted and i bought the upgraded version, there was a bug also with the level settings not working right, i downloaded a patch for that and it worked, could be the patch allso sorted this, dunno odd, anyway nice vid all the same ;-) take care mate

I've tried making her slip on oil and setting oil on fire and it never worked for me. I am playing on X-box, though.

She has to be walking downward (e.g. stairway, sloped walkway) or stepping down off of something (e.g. a dead body) in order to slip on oil.

I traid it and it workd out great it was way to easy well she did burn my ass a bit but other then that 10x.
Btw i traid shooting fire arrows at it but nothing all 15 arrows then when it looked like a ghost a thorw 5 mines under it BOOOOM!! wtf?

I did get to shoot at her a LOT and she becomes almost invisible, you can hit her but nothing happens.then she waits and comes back.
