I am scared to talk to him, cause I dont want to come off as if I want anything but just to chill and hang.... maybe... anyways (im from NY too now in MA)

  • This is a GREAT book by Joey. I had the pleasure of actually meeting Joey and I have to say that it was not only great to actually meet a member of Aerosmith, but he is an awesome guy. God Bless Joey!!!!

  • um, i thought joey, with this depression thing, i thought that was tom. when tom was high on drugs, didn't he cry about rediculous sutff, like the bruins loosing?

  • hes emotional, lol. the only thing he ever does is cry, or laugh, his head off, does he EVER have a normal reaction??

  • im def getting this book

  • He speaks very well and it seems like it might be a very interesting book to read.

  • I just met him about 5 mins ago at Starbucks here in Edmonton. Very gracious enough to pose for a pic with me!

  • Great read, Great drummer, Great band!

  • Hey Joey - we've always been a few degrees in separation. But when I last saw you, I noticed your massive spiritual transformation. Thought your aura was as bright as the Dali Lama's!

  • Walk this way, and this book --> beats shakespeare

  • wow, his voice is EXACTLY how i imagined

  • @Dustehue928 creeeepy?

  • I think that I will read that. I am from Yonkers too, but I didn't know Joey. I knew Steve Tollarico and Ray Tabano. I remember the Dantes and The Chain Reaction. I spoke to Hamilton briefly once on the stage at the Parkway Casino and I remember them at the Synagog on Tuchahoe Rd. and at the Cross County Center stage opening for a name group. Steven and I knew each other a little and he threw me out of his house because I picked up Perry's guitar just to look at it. Steve was pissed...!

  • i like joey.....he's deep and has great hair....

  • I got more from that 5 minutes than I did from the 30 or so motivational speakers I've heard from the years. Way to go Joey! Awesome!!!

  • joey is a drum god.

  • I grew up in Marshfield, the town where Steven and Joey lived. Joey was nice enough to come to the high school to speak about drugs and alcohol and the troubles they caused. That was 18 years (half the band's lifetime) ago. Those guys had cool cars -- Joey drove a Porsche 911, a GMC Typhoon,an Acura NSX,and his legendary Ferrari 348,which caught fire at a gas station in Scituate with Joey inside! Steven drove a maroon Mercedes wagon or a Lotus 7. Joe had a Wagoneer and Porsche. Brad - BMW

  • i read his book and finished it

  • Wow~! I dying to read the book now~! Great story~!

  • Ezrin...a person doesnt deserve the right to earn money off of their hard work?

  • Really wanna help people and change their lives for the better with your book? Give it away for free. Agreed?

  • You go, Joey! I'm a huge fan, always have been, always will be. Aerosmith was the first concert I ever went to (at the "Fabulous Forum" in L.A. '77) and I've followed you guys through good times & bad over the years. I'm also in recovery and was so thrilled when you guys got sober too. I'm actually reading "Walk This Way" and enjoying it immensely. Looking forward to reading your book too. Keep on rockin' and living life to the fullest. I appreciate you sharing your life with all of us.

  • This book was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your story, warts and all. It takes a lot of guts and a lot of heart to commit to pen all that you have lived, suffered and learned. At the end of the day - your story makes many feel that they too - are not alone. In addition to being a world class musician - you are a quality person. Thanks for the music and thanks for this book!

  • Joey you seem like a very humble guy for being a rock star. Good for you. The fact that Aerosmith is still together and making great music after all these years is really amazing. Very few bands ever do that.

  • Thanks for your honesty. Eddie Van Halen could learn from you!

  • Can't wait to get this book, looks great.

  • That is a great synapses of the book! I look forward to reading it! Anxiety/Depression is just too common place with people, and many don't know they have it or if they do, they don't admit it. Too often self-medicating goes on instead. ((HUGS)) and Thank you!! for sharing your story!!

  • I'm a Spanish big fan of Aerosmith and I've bought your book. Steven and Joe are the leaders of the pack, they are there at the front of the stage, but we (the Aerosmith fans) love you Mr Kramer, and also Hamilton and Whitford, you seem to be really nice guys and are the members who usually keep the band in a balanced position, the strong pillars of the building. Love you guys, Aerosmith is the soundtrack of my life

  • Thank You Thank You Thank You Joey. For saying no matter who are. Rich, Middle Class or Poor. You can have depression. I hope you will go on a book signing tour. I would love too meet you shake your hand. And thank very much for writing this book. I suffer from Depression and have Anxiety attacks. And your book has helped me very much.

  • I'm sure your book will help others and that's what its all about!

    You're a good man Joey K!

    bob b.

  • And I also suffer from anxiety too. xD

But unlike a lot of people, I'm not afraid to tell people that I have ADD, depression, anxiety, OCD, etc. (messed up and proud!) In fact, I'd rather people know about it so they know how to respond to some things I do. You're brave to talk about yours through writing and YouTube. (:

  • I have depression too. I got it when I was 10 because of all the animal abuse and poverty I saw in China. It was worsened further by the bullies in 6th grade. I'm 14 now and I just want to let you know I know how hard depression hurts. You're amazing and keep rocking, Joey!

  • Thanks for sharing Syd! :)

  • I hope life gets better for you Sydbugger,

if you even come to the USA, come visit San Diego, let me know! Take good care,

many of us care about you.

    God Bless, W

  • excuse me joe, but how is the rest history. How did steven become the singer, and not replace you at drums?

  • Tyler was passionate of being the lead singer in the band instead of drums, and we all know what happened.

  • Cuz being the lead singer is more important, so you go with your major

talent is my guess. Prob. S. Tyler

never thought he'd be a lead singer way

back when - glad he changed over tho!

  • joey is an absolute legend

  • nice to see what a couple of pricks leiber and krebs turned out to be

  • A1 JOEY....thanks for all the inspiration...I remember when I frist heard TRAIN.....I wore out that album track and my snare with that ride...thanks again ...n-keep-a rollin

  • Joey Kramer is a class act.

  • i agree i look up to him

  • @Deathinmusic Joey's real. He didn't over-stress all the drugs & rock 'n roll stuff-we know it anyway. Parts of the bk were moving & it's difficult to work w/ the public when depressed & anxious..takes a lot of energy. He's smart & he showed sensitivity to past women & was careful w/ his ST relationship which couldn't be avoided in talking about his feelings of people not caring or not feeling good enough. He's not alone-Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys had serious depression & became a recluse.

  • @Deathinmusic He's still cool too. He's a drummer, foremost, has been in the business for over 40 yrs, lived his wild life too, hit hard...just watch him in 70s videos. Almost killed himself in his sports car running into a truck in 70s, almost got blown up w/ his car in recent years...he's evaded the Reaper! He came up with the band name & happened to work w/ a past drummer lead singer who was, uhh, controlling & critical. His dad was not very loving, BUT here he is still drumming away. Win! (:

  • I hit the bottom alot due to problems Joey. I do want to read your book though. Sometimes its easier to take advice or learn from others that have had problems themselves.

    Hope your doing ok now.

  • this is too fucken Awsum!, I can't wait!

  • I must buy this! This video is interesting, and I hope the book will be too.

Umm... would it be rude to ask about how much this will cost?

  • Lol, it dont matter, its worth the 30 bucks..

  • Agreed.

  • Joey Kramer rocks!!!!!

  • When is it gonna be in stores? Is it only in the U.S.A ???

  • I believe it comes out July 1st.

  • Remember the loooong ride during rush hour to the arrowhead pond? Ha ha. Cool vid.
