  • Brava, ottima pronuncia, buon canto, intonazione.

Avrei qualche riserva per l'uso del vibrato così pronunciato per una bambina così giovane.

    Comunque complimenti!!

  • Simply beautiful!

  • holy crap i can barely role my r's and im much older than her this is just amazing when she is that young

  • WOW encerio WOW yo apenas la estoy practicando xD

  • When I heard her sing it was like someone smacked me in the face- AWESOME! Keep up the good work and follow your instructors and obey your parents, Little One, and you will go far!! Chao!!

  • she sings beautiful!!!!!!!

  • A little angel with beautiful voice...God Bless her...

  • This is a very nice performance, and I wish a lot of success to you.

  • Beautiful, greats to her parents and teacher n_n

  • I recently sang this song at a local music festival. It's nice to see that I can learn from you even though I am a bit older. :) Great stuff, Jordan.

  • Wow this is incredible. Absolutely makes my performance in high school look like a dirty sock in comparison.

  • wonderful!

  • wonderful!

  • Amazing of course, stupendous, but does her teacher realize the risk of forcing this much on her vocal cords at this age? It could ruin her for life! I hope she stays healthy and doesn't fall into that state.

  • @ThePitchFinder thank you.. Jordan have very good vocal coaches who only expose her to this type of arias for young sopranos.. This music isnt harsh on the cords like some of the demanding arias which I will not allow her to sing! You are correct.. with the wrong technique and choice of song you could damage the vocals ..

  • @servosouth wish you all the best, she is as beautiful as her voice n_n

  • @servosouth Young sopranos, yes. But she's what, 9? This could really stunt her development.

  • Bellissimo ! Grazie tanto. You sing very well.

  • haaa, "IT IS A LOVE SONG" very impressive though

  • LINDA!

  • Hi, Jordan. I'm learning this song for this semester at Cleveland State University. How did you learn all that and learn it so well?

  • U r absolutely amazing!!! Ur gonna be even better wen ur voice matures

  • Before I learn a new song I listen t it on Youtube and read the music at the same time. I am very bad at sight reading and I need another singer to guide me along. This particular version is really good for me because this little girl sings the notes exactly as they are written. Her diction is nice and clear too! When I was learning Chinese I also found that children can be the best teachers! They are very matter of fact and there is no b.s. to them! Thanks for your help Jordan!

  • hayy no me gustó su voz... Como cansoncita... :p

  • fuck what a talent...so young...and even good technique...i hope she`s enjoying the music...

  • This is incredable!

  • Please, please keep singing. Incredible.

  • GREAT JOB!

  • You have such a lovely voice and such amazing potential, keep up the good work. I'm working on this song myself at the moment and I love hearing your rendition of it because, as someone else mentioned, there is so much heart and spirit in your singing. You are a natural star! :)

  • @SammiMalek Thank you so much! hugs Jordan

  • wow

  • OMG! Fantastico! Bella! Bravissimo!

  • Oh my God. We just got the music for this song and got a reference to this video....She sings beautifully! I couldn't have thought that a girl her age could pull it off, but she did it well and so smoothly! I envy her, but I also wish her the best!

  • I cannot believe you guys are talking about intonation and vocal technique to this girl (she is a child, do you know where she can get to)?

I am a cellist who also sings and also composes, and had to make some effort and put myself into the mood to hear any lack intonation, which is so minimal that I considered non-existent for the great accomplishment and amount of goodness she is doing.

God Bless you little girl, and parents and teachers...!

  • @moomooism This unusually young lady captures the essence of this particular Italian song, with an absolute dedication to the meaning and integrity to words and melodic line. I don't know if she has a natural ear for the diction or if her teacher is a wizard but the end result are words that are pronounced to perfection including a proficiency at rolling and flipping 'r's. In her face I see expressiveness that belies her modest age. It was a pleasure to stumble upon this video.

  • @lagoods58 Thanks really appreciate your comments hugs Jordan

  • @moomooismycat Thank you so much hugs Jordan

  • nice accompanying!

  • you moved me to tears!

wonderful presentation, too. a very small suggestion-it is a disadvantage to draw the head down to one side.keep up the great work!

  • she sounds wonderful, especially for her age, but it's dangerous starting singers this young because there is a high risk of vocal cord damage. In this recording I can here some signs of possible risk, because she is not singing in a way that will protect her cords. She may have great instructors, but she is still young. I hope she doesn't end up as another Charlotte Church.

  • @BriBri771 how old do you think someone should be when they start singing?

  • @livetodancexox As long as a child is just casually singing, any age is fine. But for serious training, I wouldn't recommend starting before 12 or 13. That's when a voice begins to develop, and even at that age, you can't be sure of what the voice will sound like later. Children also need to develop the mental maturity to understand that they need to protect their voice, and how they can do that. When the vocal chords are young, they are more susceptible to damage, so serious training is risky.

  • @BriBri771 i agree with you, i never knew that until now. thats good to know (: 16 and i started at 14! and i used to kick myself about it for not starting earlier. now i know it was a good thing (: thank you

  • @livetodancexox no problem!

  • wow she sounds 10x better than me as a child and I was ok

  • caspiterinaaa!!!!!!!!!!!Adorable!!!!amazing!!!!

  • I am so envious of you. I wish my parents had cared enough to put me in voice lessons at your age. I have loved singing for as long as I can remember. I did not start lessons myself until I after I graduated from High School and had a job to pay for them. I wish you all the best!

  • @coffeeuniverse Thank you so much..

  • Comment removed

  • @depaulalexander1 thanks for your reply. but she has great vocal instructors who train opera singers at who perform at the met and all over the world.. but thanks

  • Good job you sing well for ur age but your voice is immature yet :) Keep up girl!

  • I am so entirely jealous by now, because I sang this song last semester, but she was better. Jordan, you have an amazing singing career in front of you.

  • BRAVO! your tone would be beautiful in someone five years ahead of you, and is incredible for someone of your age. Keep singing, I think we'll see you in Carnagie Hall someday.

  • WOW!

  • For a young child like yourself to have this kind of tone and talent is such a blessing! Keep it up and don't stop singing. I like that you are not forcing an operatic sound. The only critique I have is to maybe not roll your "R"s as much. Also, the breath support was not all there, but you are so young so I can definitely understand that LOL. Bravo. Great job.

  • Dear Jordan, Thank you very much! This is wonderful....very touching... I can not say that there is no intonation problems, yes, there are....but the main thing IS there - the spirit.... so few, even professionals have it (and maybe professionals even more likely to loose it - they are often too worried about...hm...intonation...which I am here advising... how to keep both?) I wish you to always keep the spirit! good luck!

  • @Amarilli1800 Thank you appreciate your comments Jordan continues to study

  • Nice voice, but weird repetoire choice for a ten year old girl.

  • @kkallebb Thanks for you comments.. I disagree.. 24 itallian arias are taught in many of the vocal classical teachings for young sopranos. I do understand somewhat what you mean.. as far as experience.. but songs are sang by adults who really didnt experience what they sang about either.. but Thanks.. I do appreciate your comments

  • ÓTIMO, Dicção perfeita visto que se trata de outro idioma.

  • Now that's pretty!!! Miss Jordan I hope you continue singing :) You're cute as honeypie!! That piece made me smile :)

  • Seriously adorable and talented

Keep up with your music theory,

Better to be ahead with that too!

  • holy shyt O.o

  • bravoooo

  • sweeet!

  • My god kid you got a voice. Don't waste that talent!

  • Simply amazing! I keep trying to find the lyrics to this song so I myself could sing it when I stumbled upon your video, simply amazing, it has half ay brought me to tears.

  • wow

    great!

  • Amazing!!! Keep Studying, working hard on music, and performing and you will do wonderful things for this world. God Bless!

  • Amazing!!!!!! Please keep studying, working hard on music, and performing and you will do wonderful things for this world! God Bless!

  • When she becomes famous and they show her youtube videos, make sure you show my comment lol!

  • Man, great technique. I've seen old ladies that couldn't correct their breathing techniques like you. Great job, hope you keep singing

  • Thanks everyone!! i am now 12 so that was 2 years ago..

  • this is amazing im 18 and im having trouble doing this song. whew. excellent work keep it up.

  • keep working! Age is the key here.

  • the song is obviously not polished, but that's only because she is very young. what she does have, however, is an amazing voice. if she continues to study voice, no doubt she'll shine.

  • Wow, I did not expect that at all when I clicked on the video.

She's amazing! She's going to be an absolutely incredible singer as she gets older.

  • Learning this song right now, and I've just been been bested by a little girl... Damn...

She is so young, but you can tell she's has fabulous potential. If she doesn't push too far too young she will do very well. This is a great song for her as its mezzo range and not too strenuous. Don't let her do too heavy stuff until she's at least in her teens, as i would hate for her lovely voice to get damaged.

Beautiful voice and song, and great confident delivery. She'll go far:D

  • She's got incredible vibrato for such a young age, I'll give her that. But I have to say, Her pitch is a little off and her Italian could use some work. She's definitely got potential though.

  • omfg, she could sing last year much better than me now, OMG, I'm soo jealous *__*

  • loved it but she curled her R's too much... everything else for her age was amazing!!!

  • It's Italian, you have to roll your R's.

  • @eloosivegem it was a bit overdone... but nice

  • Thanks for your reply.. but I personally think she did a great job.. she was only 10 y/o when this was done.

  • Muito Talentosa!

Uma Bela Voz e muito expressiva!

    Sucesso!

  • You are welcome! I found it very interesting that when both my children were given pieces to sing they used their head voices right away and very naturally, and niether had any past experiences in classical singing. so I had 2 soprano's and now I have a lovely baritone and a mezzo soprano, neither ever having a break in leasons. I found that they were very intuative in the way they used their voices and don't believe they have damaged their voices at all by starting leasons so early.

  • So many of these comments just make me laugh. She is a lovely little girl with a very special talent and all the time in the world to develop technique. My daughter has been singing since she was six and, you should know as a parent that you can't make your child do something well if they dont enjoy doing it and make them do it year after year. My girl is 16 now and listens to death metal all day but still loves her classical studies and is doing very well at it too, thank you very much!!!

  • Thank you mcrnoogz.. I totally agree!!

  • As long as the technique is there Jordan is actually progressing and developing very nicely at a young age.. Other famous Opera singers who performed at an early age.. Sills, Horne, Andrews and there are many more.. I wonder why they didn't blow out their cords? I will not continue to explain why my daughter sings I appreciate your opinion but again SHE is professionally trained with people who are very aware of BelCanto and the damage that can occur to kids if not done correctly....

  • Absolutely, I appreciate your comments.. Jordan decides which singing she wants to do.. I believe you cannot push a child but if she chooses to do a performance I expect her to give it her all. Being a child and having fun if first and foremost the most important aspect but she also is a very bright child and realizes with any talent that you want to excel at there is a commitment. If she decided to just do whatever besides a career in singing then I will support her 100%.

  • lovely !!!!

  • Thank you and I totally agree. Kids this age with the right repertoire and vocal coach can sing and develop technique and still have the longevity. Jordan has a great coach locally and in NYC that believes the most important aspect is correct vocal development. Some are totally against kids singing classical but I disagree as long as what she sings isn't going to stress the cords. Training her in technique only will develop her to excel when her voice does mature fully. Again thank you

  • I am relieved that she has conscientious people around her like you. :)

It isn't singing classical that is damaging as much as it is poor technique and quanitity. Even with good technique, quantity can be damaging at an early age (I speak from experience) but you are obviously aware of the pitfalls so that is in her favor. I just hope she is also being afforded time off from singing and time to be a child. :) I'm glad you understand the spirit in which my post was offered. Mille grazie :)

  • So little cutie, with so much voice!

    Great! Keep Going!

  • wonderful !

  • She can roll her "r's"! Very good attempt and a very good job! :-) :-)

  • "It is a love song."

    Priceless!

  • its was nice:) just more practise and will be perfect:) because of her age she lose notes sometimes, but she has potential:) good luck girl!

  • Wow that was amazing!!

  • Thank you very much

  • So glad to see the video is doing so well. Love to you both!

  • wow....amazing voice. has she ever sung sound of music? if so, i would love to her it.

  • will put it on..

  • An amazingly gifted child! Easily the most talented singer of her age I've heard. Please keep that in mind when I say that I hear a good deal of tension in this recording that stems from her trying to make her young instrument bigger than it is ready to be. It is important that her singing be free and easy, and let it get bigger in its own time, otherwise the tension will be difficult to let go of later on. Truly, she is a delight to watch and listen to - you must be incredibly proud of her.

  • Lucy I greatly appreciate your comments .. thank you so much..

  • im doing this for my grade 7,, its such a good song :)

  • ¡Bellísimo!

  • The one thing about her voice is, it's not gonna make a hit record. She's prolly gonna knock Julliard's sicks off. And make some chorus-like songs. Maybe opera.

  • watch her double consonants & all would be perfect

  • Bravissima!! If you keep this up, you'll do great. Your accent is almost flawless for these type of arias, just a little more practice will help you refine it. Not a critique, but rather a suggestion. PLEASE keep singing!

  • Absolutely incredible. What a gift God has given this little girl.

  • Thank you soooo much..

    huggs

    Jordan

  • She's really changed since the "castle on a cloud" vid. I really like the way she says "it is a love song". Nice emphasis on "love". Keep in singing!

  • that's good! but she sings through her vocal cords.

  • Your so true.. she does sing through her vocal cords :)

  • Comment removed

  • Yes an excellent performance, a clap my hands. Good articulation and the intonation is good. Not 100% stabile in airflow, but that goes under practice-issues, not talent-issues. Was I a musicteatcher, I would be very happy.

    Good show.

  • o my she is amazing and at 7. i sung this song this year for nats. she is goin to be an awesome singer.

  • GOD

  • Don't younger children have to be careful about singing challenging songs in case they wreck their voice??? 11 is a bit young...

  • As long as you have the right coaches and maintain the correct technique, no these songs are not bad. As with any song if you sing it wrong you can damage your voice and create nodes. Even whispering is much more damaging that singing.

    Barry

  • Even with that her vocal cords will get tired they did in this video be cafeful :) Her italian diction is excellent

  • ok I understand. Now that I think about it, I as well was singing songs like these easily at her age. I think it's great that she's training classicaly because that really prepares you for everything.

  • Very impressive. This little girl is going to be amazing as an adult.

  • Thank you Courtenay

    Barry

  • I think you have a nice voice but I feel like you're a little young to be singing this song. You have good potential but I would work on control and your "R"s should sound sound a little more natural

  • Lovez I appreciate your comment, but Jordan easily sings this type of music she just sang O mio babbino caro which is a very hard song for an 11 y/o.. yes we do watch the songs she sings and thankful of her instructors. Jordan is trained in NYC by one of the best vocal coaches for classical music

  • i am absolutely speechless!! all i can say is BRAVO jordan!!!!!

  • I am a music major and reaching my sophomore barrier and I am preforming this song. I LOVE the way you sing it! It is the best version.

  • Wicked! I did this song for my Baccalaureate in music, and listened to about a billion versions.

This is great :) Really impressive control.

  • Vow ! Amazing !

  • Thanks

  • That was an excellent performance pretty girl. You have a beautiful strong voice and have very good control of it. Keep working on it and reach for the stars. I liked this very much.

    In tune

    Lalita

  • Thank you very much

  • She is precious!

  • thank you !!

  • whoa........

    her R's are awesome.

  • Bravo Bravo!! That was pure Magic! Have a Happy Valentines day!

    Magic Mark :-)

  • Awesome!!!5*****!

    Hugs, Maria Sarah!!:)

  • Never in my wildest dreams would I have even thought of singing that song at my age. I'm eighteen and I've just now sang it.

    Jordan is an amazing singer.

    Simply amazing.

  • Thank you so much!

  • so cute! i love young children singing classical! But this song is actually about her sister that had just died. she is mourning her death. talking to her after she died. but great job! her language is very good for her age.

  • Gentile signora Hernandez,

La pronucia è pessima, la ragazza un fenomeno, il pianista un cane. Grazie

  • Please could you make a video of her singing Amazing Grace I would love to hear it

  • Beatiful :) Made me cry

    How old is Jordan now?

  • Jordan just turned 11 y/o, thanks

  • i would like to listen to her sing amazing grace, i think it would sound nice =)

  • i love this video an watch it everyday, it is really amazing, she will be famous one day =)

  • Thank you katie

  • OMG!!! HER PRONUNCIATION IS PERFECT!

  • Thanks

  • She sang it beautifully...

  • Thanks

  • I am just wondering what tecnique she is being taught? I am starting to take some professional lessons and she seems to being using the same vcal tecnique as I am.

  • She studies in NY and he teaches Bel Canto

  • thank you :)

  • I'm speechless, you're just amazing Jordan!!!

  • Thank you

  • Nah. I've been singing for 17 and 1/2 years. Taking lessons for nearly 13. I'm 20 now. but I'm really into violin these days. I think I suscribed before, but accidently removed it. Heh, for being so young, Jordan has a remarkable voice. When she sings she should be herself, not try to be like Beverly sills or something. it'll happen for her. Her voice is perfect the way it is. Its natural and brilliant. Keep up the good work!!!

  • i don't remember. is this from an opera? Lol, If so, it's called an "aria" but she sings it so well! I loved it! Beautiful job!!!! Her double consonants are awesome and her trills are pretty much perfect! Jordan makes me want to go practice! Great technidue as well! She is definitely on her way to becoming a star! Go get'em Jordan!!!

  • WhitelighterMae, thank you very much for your comments. Do you teach voice? You are very knowledgable and hit all the points perfect. Jordan sometimes has a nagging habit of lifting her chin and we have been working on that. Again, thank you for subscribing.

  • at 2:44 is really good! i tried singing this song its really hard, and u did a great job! soo cool to know how u will sing when ur like 20!!

  • Thank you...

  • This is amazing! Lovely, lovely, lovely. You have got an exciting future.

  • usally when i give aperson a coplement i say something silly like your horrible just kidding....but your way to good to good to even say a joke. your amazing. i'm so enviouse. my choir is singing that and well.........your so much better and so much more mature souning wehen you sing than usa nd wer 9th n 10th grader. your amazing, i cant belive your 9 or 10!!!!!! 20 thoumbs up.
