5.56 nato is .223 cal, a m16 can be placed on burst or auto, a AR15 typically dosent have that capability! other than that they are the same gun! and finally tannerite is chemically the same as black powder, it has just been separated so that it requires a EXTREME shockwave to mix it at a cellular level! C-4 is completely different! and it requires HEAT and PRESSURE to set it off!!

Most civi ARs dont work with 5.56. 5.56 were made more of a automatic they create more pressure to blow back charging slide a little quicker, thats why you cant use one in a gun made to use .223 rounds even though thier outer dimentions are EXACTLY the same.

@fitbmxseries1. I was a scout in the army and wile I was in I shot civilian 223 rounds out of my M4 with out somuch as a jam! And I have shot military ball and tracer 5.56 rounds out of a civilian mini 14 with same results. Now im no expert on the 223 round, don't have one personally but all the DM I talked to in the army tould me they were the same which is why I shot said rounds through both guns! And I still know the guy who has the mini 14, and it still works fine! Just sayin!

@theWOLVERINE69 my ar15 is made for the 5.56 but is labeled .223, i just contacted the manufacture and they said both will work. alot of .223 are actually made for the 5.56 but if the gun is made for the .223 you can damage your bolt due to the pressure of the blow back on that round. it shouldnt cause a jam just damage the gun over time. i was told a fully automatic 5.56 wont work as well with the .223 but never seen any issues.

But this stuff actuly has to be shot. the round has to be going over 2,200 fps to set it off. its safe and theres no way a bad guy could do anything bad with this studd.

The 3 keys to a great tannerite explosion: 1. Alot of tanny 2. Large mtn.,etc behind the setup 3. Long distance from the setup to better distinguish the rifle shot and the explosion. Nice to see someone else do it right!
