I honestly think they were going to kiss 2 when Zack leaned in to give Aerith a "closer" look at his eyes, it looked like they were mmoving in on eachother going closer for a kiss..
I guess the whole “Aeris/Aerith” debate rages because the nostalgic fans that played FF7 when it first came out knew her as Aeris, and even if Aerith is closest to the actual Japanese it still feels jarring to the people who first played this game. It’s kind of like how I hate the GBA translation of opera house scene in FF6 because I first experienced it on the SNES and the way they changed the lyrics just felt wrong.
The fact that Cloud has moved on with his life, is now living with Tifa (and the time they spent under the Highwind. Hint*hint*nudge*nudge) should confirm the fact that Zack and Aerith is canon. There is also the fact to mention they are together again in the afterlife.
Imagine spending a peaceful eternal rest with the one you loved in life.

And that's what I don't like. According to Crisis Core, Zack changed EVERYTHING about Aeris. The way she acts, the way she dresses, and even her choice of words. First of all, this directly contradict Elmyra's flashbacks of younger Aeris in the original game, where she was obviously very spunky and not the least bit timid. And not only that, but it makes Aeris herself seem more shallow. "Oh, she's like and dresses like that this because of a boy she liked". Fuck that. D:

@UchihaGamer111 Miverva is the planet in human form. The Planet was already severely weakened from the Mako reactors and the wound from the Northern Crater. Hence it awakened the WEAPONS that it created from the original crisis 2000 years ago. Because of Sephiroth's barrier, they went after the humans who were also harming the Planet. Holy was Aerith's magic, the Planet had sent pure lifestream itself to help Holy because it was cast too late. There's no plot holes only inconsistencies.

The Planet is a lifeform composed of masses of lifestream. Lifestream if the spiritual essence of everything that has lived and ever will live. Minerva is just simply a name given to the Planet when it's will manifests itself in human form. The Planet = Minnerva = large mass of lifestream = souls of dead.

Sephiroth possessed the largest and purest amount of Jenova cells therefore he is closest to Jenova's strength. Even the WEAPONS couldn't get past his barrier and the Planet was helpless to do anything.

Sephiroth was implied to be holding back in AC so he's potentially the strongest but for now it's Chaos Vincent. But the strongest being in the FF7 universe is definetly The Planet or Jenova.

@UchihaGamer111 Gameplay isn't canon to the story. Hell if Spehiroth can pull of Supernova anytime he wants then the FF7 cast have star level durability. The way Sephiroth lost in AC was all plot. Hero gets ass kicked, then gives speech about friendship, hero pulls off a win. It's quite common among the FF games. When Cloud went for the original Omnislash, he got impaled. Version 5/6 was all Cloud needed to win and he got that hit (through plot, Sephy outclassed him momments before).

Same way Cloud just omni slashed Seph. Besides Sephiroth's character is flawed in the game the dude was only level 50 when he was alive and his stats wern't that amazing. I mean I don't see why they didn't have Seph level 99 if he was truely so amazing. Hell Masamune is what gave him 255 str.
@UchihaGamer111 Like I said, gameplay mechanics aren't canon. Goku's SS is a whole different thing. Super Saiyan actually made sense to the plot. It was unlocked through rage and we already knew about it prior to the transformation. Cloud's case didn't happen like that. He went in full strength and got toyed around with by Sephiroth. Then, all of a sudden he's able to pull off omnislash. There was no explanation whatsoever and Sephiroth just stood there when he could've vleary blocked it.

Alot of that information was given by the creators in interviews not from THE GAME. You can make no divide between the Planet and Minnerva in the game. And the Cetra fought Jenova not Minnerva. So all that dosn't make SENSE period.

You know you're fail when you put you have so many fail games that no one plays. I don't mind sequels/prequels/spin-offs when they're done right. Crisis Core was a good game, DoC could've used more work. 4 heroes of light, Ring of Fate, and The After Years are just made of fail.
@UchihaGamer111 Well immortality doesn't neccesarily mean. There's many types of immortality if you know you're fiction. Vincent just can't die from aging or physical wounds. Heck you can blow him to pieces and he'll still be alive, he just won't be able to come back from that. Vincent was actually a failed experiment cuz he was dying. Lucrecia put Chaos inside him to save his life and then he just went to sleep for a long time. Hojo's main priority was recreating a Cetra through Jenova cells.
@TheDavyman Still don't think the original game intended any of that and that is all new plot they built on during DOC. It just makes no sense that he was immortal during FF7 and that never proved useful once.

@TheDavyman Look i'll just be honest with you. I played FF7 when I was like 9 dude in 1997 on the original Gray playstation. And the story just dosn't make sense no more. I don't understand why Omni Slash could crush Sephiroth in the game, but in the movie it has no effect. Some how Sephiroth got a unexplained powerboost? They won't explain a cannon fight with Safer or Bizzaro but wan't to make everything before and after FF7 cannon. Its just lame they should have left the game alone.

I knew how bad ass Cloud could be he wasn't even injected with Mako and tossed Sephiroth like a ho. N The new stuff makes him look soft.

Because as a child in the flashback, she isn't timid at all. I mean she walks right up to Elmyra and tells her, that her husband died. I mean it is like he said she didn't act shy. Zack & Aerith are probably the only characters I ever respected on FFVII. I don't give a shit bout Cloud Tifa Sephiroth Vincent, or other of the fucking characters in FFVII. Zack & Aerith are the perfect characters, they're nice, have great personalities and looks. They deserve more credit than any other FFVII characters!

@DeathGodRiku It's just an easy mistake to make is all. At the beginning of Dirge, it shows Yuffie and Vincent evacuating Midgar after Sephiroth summons meteor. This is kinda like a flashback of FF7. Then it fast forwards three years to the present which is Dirge. And AC takes place two years after FF7. Another way to tell is that Vincent didn't have a phone in AC and didn't get one until after it. But in Dirge it's obvious he already has one cause he uses it a lot.

yeah they changed too much of it. even in advent children, you can always hear Reno add a sort of "yo" to his sentence, to sound cool and laidback. But they eliminated this in the english version. it was better when reno could say "yo" because Tifa made fun of him for that. But they got rid of tifa's line too. >_>;;;

Sephiroth possessed the largest and purest amount of Jenova cells therefore he is closest to Jenova's strength. Even the WEAPONS couldn't get past his barrier and the Planet was helpless to do anything.

@UchihaGamer111 Lol, no. Cloud's a decent fighter but he's only beated Sephiroth through plot and because Sehpiroth was messing around in Advent Children. Strongest character is Chaos Vincent. Sephiroth was implied to be holding back in AC so he's potentially the strongest but for now it's Chaos Vincent. But the strongest being in the FF7 universe is definetly The Planet or Jenova.

@UchihaGamer111 Gameplay isn't canon to the story. Hell if Spehiroth can pull of Supernova anytime he wants then the FF7 cast have star level durability. The way Sephiroth lost in AC was all plot. Hero gets ass kicked, then gives speech about friendship, hero pulls off a win. It's quite common among the FF games. When Cloud went for the original Omnislash, he got impaled. Version 5/6 was all Cloud needed to win and he got that hit (through plot, Sephy outclassed him momments before).

@TheDavyman I'm saying in anime the hero always gets a ridiculous power boost. Why would Goku go SSJ because he got pissed off? He didn't train to go SSJ or anything it just happened. Same way Cloud just omni slashed Seph. Besides Sephiroth's character is flawed in the game the dude was only level 50 when he was alive and his stats wern't that amazing. I mean I don't see why they didn't have Seph level 99 if he was truely so amazing. Hell Masamune is what gave him 255 str.

@UchihaGamer111 Like I said, gameplay mechanics aren't canon. Goku's SS is a whole different thing. Super Saiyan actually made sense to the plot. It was unlocked through rage and we already knew about it prior to the transformation. Cloud's case didn't happen like that. He went in full strength and got toyed around with by Sephiroth. Then, all of a sudden he's able to pull off omnislash. There was no explanation whatsoever and Sephiroth just stood there when he could've vleary blocked it.

@TheDavyman And like I said all these Square Enix creations are leaving PLOT HOLES, i'm not just talking about Crisis Core which you learned from a Wiki and not the game lol. Alot of that information was given by the creators in interviews not from THE GAME. You can make no divide between the Planet and Minnerva in the game. And the Cetra fought Jenova not Minnerva. So all that dosn't make SENSE period.

You know you're fail when you put you have so many fail games that no one plays. I don't mind sequels/prequels/spin-offs when they're done right. Crisis Core was a good game, DoC could've used more work. 4 heroes of light, Ring of Fate, and The After Years are just made of fail.

@UchihaGamer111 Well immortality doesn't neccesarily mean. There's many types of immortality if you know you're fiction. Vincent just can't die from aging or physical wounds. Heck you can blow him to pieces and he'll still be alive, he just won't be able to come back from that. Vincent was actually a failed experiment cuz he was dying. Lucrecia put Chaos inside him to save his life and then he just went to sleep for a long time. Hojo's main priority was recreating a Cetra through Jenova cells.

@TheDavyman Look i'll just be honest with you. I played FF7 when I was like 9 dude in 1997 on the original Gray playstation. And the story just dosn't make sense no more. I don't understand why Omni Slash could crush Sephiroth in the game, but in the movie it has no effect. Some how Sephiroth got a unexplained powerboost? They won't explain a cannon fight with Safer or Bizzaro but wan't to make everything before and after FF7 cannon. Its just lame they should have left the game alone.

And yeah, Sephiroth did get quite a significant power boost in AC. He'd spent 2 yearsonquering the lifestream. The creators even said he had evolved. I quite like the compilation story-wise but Square does love to milk FF7.

@TheDavyman See man I don't remember it explaining Sephiroth was taking control of the life stream. I mean I knew Geo-Stigma had something to do with Jenova, but it never even really explained that. I even had a Sephiroth fan try to tell me Sephiroth was actually weaker because of him being made from the remnants Kadaj ect. This is what really confused me about the Omni Slash is him saying Sephiroth was weaker, he was trying to prove Sephiroth could have owned Cloud in FF7 some how.

@TheDavyman I'm going to be honest and sincere, with what I think the deeper reason for my feelings of FF7 being like it is. I think its because as a child FF7 was my first ROLE PLAYING game, which put me onto the greatness that is FF6(3 on america SNES) I connected with Clouds character, and felt like I was him fighting Sephiroth, I lost my friend Aerith. I knew how bad ass Cloud could be he wasn't even injected with Mako and tossed Sephiroth like a ho. N The new stuff makes him look soft.

Because as a child in the flashback, she isn't timid at all. I mean she walks right up to Elmyra and tells her, that her husband died. I mean it is like he said she didn't act shy. I never even thought of that really till he brought it up. And it is a valid point.

@DeathGodRiku It's just an easy mistake to make is all. At the beginning of Dirge, it shows Yuffie and Vincent evacuating Midgar after Sephiroth summons meteor. This is kinda like a flashback of FF7. Then it fast forwards three years to the present which is Dirge. And AC takes place two years after FF7. Another way to tell is that Vincent didn't have a phone in AC and didn't get one until after it. But in Dirge it's obvious he already has one cause he uses it a lot.

She's trying to say she thinks they are monsters, "not normal", refering to "not human". if you understand the japanese version, this is the true translation as well.

yeah they changed too much of it. even in advent children, you can always hear Reno add a sort of "yo" to his sentence, to sound cool and laidback. But they eliminated this in the english version. it was better when reno could say "yo" because Tifa made fun of him for that. But they got rid of tifa's line too. >_>;;;
