I love this video. And I love this song. I've tried to find the chords everywhere but in vain. I love how comfortable he is just playing and walking, never even really looking.
For the record, we met Vincent in Paris and he encouraged us to use his style - he said he'd love to see Australian musos and landscapes, and he was particularly keen to see musos he shot in Paris such as Andrew performing in Sydney.
We credit Vincent, Chryde and Blogotheque at the end of every video. It's a beautiful concept they created and we are really grateful to them. We hope through our framing, colours, choice of music etc. we have found our own aesthetic inspired by the one they began.
I gotta make another comment too, this video is lovely. I love the "just hang with Andrew Bird" part at the end where he didn't play a specific song, and his whistling is fantastic.
@ShootThePlayer If you noticed, at the end during the whistling part he started whistling part of the melody for a song called Souverian from his album Noble Beast which wasn't released until January of 2009. About 5 months after this was shot. That means that he had either written the songs already and was just playing a piece of it, or (being that he didn't whistle the whole melody) he could have been in the process of writing it at the time. either way, you guys got a sneak peek. Lucky!
I'd like the camera to move with the music's tempo more. But that's no biggie, I love what you guys do and Andrew Bird is awesome! Thanks for putting this up on YouTube!
Lady, "-who were really bad, and they lived on Alcatraz." Andrew, "It's really small... they must've been realllly bad." XD Oh, Andrew Bird. <3

How cool would it be if Andrew Bird was your dad, like you're at home and he's just walking around whistling all the time, omg how cool would that be

This comment has received too many negative votes show
The style of video so closely resembles Blogotheque's Take Away Shows. Give him his style back.

Andrew pretty much played the whole time we were with him - improvising, moving from one song to another. It was an amazing day.
And feel free to make as many comments as you like, we're really happy you enjoy the videos!

haha sorry about that cynical comment, i was in an irritable state.
you guys are good, but i just love lablogotheque's camera work and that unique tone they add to it...

shoot the player's videos are like lablogotheque's takeaway shows with not as good camera work
tank50151 3 years ago
We were inspired by la blogotheque after Amelia met Vincent Moon and he encouraged us to film in Australia.
Curious how you think our camera work could be better? Constructive feedback always welcome!
