  • I Did That

  • My cousin often speaks of the time he got caught up in a volcanic eruption in Iceland about 10yrs ago.

He says he was thrown up many hundreds of feet into the air, where he claims to have had visions of “Christ our Redeemer, standing by the throne of almightly God- saying that I had been annointed as mankind’s new saviour.”

Ever since he has preached the Gospel- but a perverted version IMO, in which he himself takes a central role as “A Mighty GodHead, holding the keys to Heaven”.

  • It is amazing, I've always been marveled by the volcanic activity...

I was surprised by the news of a new eruption in Iceland, do not know if the new eruption is as intense as the one that occurred there in 2004.

  • @agustinamar2 They say that the eruption now is 10 times more powerful than the one last year and is the strongest eruption in iceland since Hekla erupted in 1947. The one in 2004 was really small

  • @audveltadmuna Oh!! that's really kind of scary... :( hope everything turns out well for you in Iceland.Best wishes for them!

  • How about if they let some 20 B-52's in sequence drop water on the cloud of ash, to prevent the same shit as last year.

  • @fopneus

You ever seen water beeing thrown on burning oil?

About the same will happen when you do this.

  • @vossejongk burning oil is not the same as ash parts in the sky. Do you see the cloud as a puff of burning oil then?

  • @vossejongk

No ofcourse not, but think about the lava thats below the ash cloud in the vulcano.

Only effect will be an explosion sending even more ash into the sky..

That or it will simply evaporate from the heat before it even gets close to the bottom.

  • @fopneus Considering that the caldera is about 20km in diameter and spewing up to 20.000 tons of dust per second 40.000ft up into the air, I doubt we could even make a dent in it.

  • It's the end of time, we are going to dieeeeeeeeeeeeeee !

  • So that's twice this year that Grimsvotn has failed to erupt. It had a failed eruption in March and it failed to erupt earlier this month after the glacial flood. Come on Grimsvotn, show us your power!
