I had to play this song by Billie Jo Spears about 5 times along with Jean's version here to make sure that this was indeed Jean Shepard ! THEY SOUND SO MUCH ALIKE ! If you play them both with one of them a few seconds behind and you get it just right - WOW !!! TRY IT. I LOVE JEAN SHEPARD ! As she grew older her voice became so incredibally powerful !!! THEN (S)HE TOUCHED ME
@bandstandmike I too love Jean, her voice has become stronger, even as old as she is now her voice is still so very strong. I love watching her on the dvd's of country family reunion that Larry Black has made possible for us to enjoy hearing such as she.
@ragen13 I agree...I lived in Nashville for awhile and had the good fortune of meeting many of the Opry stars and Jean is a wonderful lady! I'm blessed to have all of her recordings and albums!

Finally! Jean Shepard should have been in the Hall Of Fame years ago! I love this lady and she is a true pioneer of country music!
