This doesn't sound half as dangerous as the original... too polished... When the MC 5 did it it always sounded like everything was about to fall apart... and the anger was seething below the surface without real release... THAT is what heavy music is about! Another great example of that concept is Orgasmatron by Motorhead... seething, sneering ANGER

That's the trouble about covering such an epic song--you're never gonna get any props.  compared to the original, this is pretty sanitized. But then again, so is all of rock and roll. Monster magnet does rock correctly, though.

After listening to the various covers of KOTJ's available on youtube, this is frankly one of the better ones. I'm not saying is a great cover, cause frankly I've yet to hear a great one, but is good. The only critique II have is that so many bands tend to slow the song down too much. Still, better than some of the amazingly craptastic versions out there.
