I think it's unfortunate that 'the Mysterious Stranger' segment is often omitted from any showings of 'the Adventures of Mark Twain' on television. People are too quick to hide their children from anything but the most "harmless" and bland entertainment in the attempt to keep them pure and innocent.

Kids need to skin their knees and see nude paintings and get frightened by things they don't understand or they'll be mentally stuck.

Disney's Bambi is far more frightening to kids, anyway.
