@Devhawk124 BS, viper's only zoning tool is siesmo and a whiffed seismo means eating a jump in or a grab. and seismo have to be spaced perfectly unlike fireballs. im 100% sure it was never EVER a good match for viper on any edition of any tier list.

@drywater You know how good siesmo? it makes so many mix ups chances and a wring guess can lead to terrible situations, and no free jump ins or you get damaged hard.

@Devhawk124 when you play the seismo game, you're the one doing the guessing. seismo has such a huge recovery and has small rewards for the risks you take. most of the time if it hits, all you get is block stun and chip damage (which is great but a very small reward). compare that to a fireball which has minimal risks. don't even bother trying to defend yourself. there's no single tier list that says its a good matchup for viper. almost every (if not all) tier list says its 6-4 in favor of gief.

@drywater Sorry man. With no knockdown EX hand and chain seismo allowing you to get free chip or free huge damage at high level this matchup is ass for Gief. The tier lists have always been stupid for Viper from day one and largely inaccurate. In Super you could make an argument it was in Gief's favor with Ex Hand knockdown. Proof being Uryo vs Zangitan in God's Garden since knockdowns with Gief close means option selects. But now In AE the only way you get that knockdown is a sweep. Adv Viper.
