Mt house is being foreclosed on, I have not had a job in over a year, I am in debt beyond belief to every possible creditor (including courts, DA office for "bad checks", etc.), and I have no prospects for jobs after submitting hundreds of applications, including applying with useless employment agencies. I know it is a humor, that much is obvious, but what you don't see is how this affects the minds of young people. Laughing at something makes it less valuable or less serious. Getting off the grid is a serious consideration of every intelligent person. Laughing at it makes it less important or less serious. And while, yes, we can laugh at anything, my point is still the same: this type of humor is a primitive programming which may discourage people from living off the grid.
