    Hint.

  • P0YKPAC is nice..

  • That was hilarious!

  • living off the grid does not look to easy... but it can be done .... people are doing it ....

  • Why abandon your car when you can just sell it?!

  • @x0fx3 makes it look like something happened to you and makes it harder to find you. its like when you escape from prison you dont keep the same orange jump suit on do you?

  • lol i typed in howcast how to be homeless and got here

  • FUCKING STUPID ADS ARE STUPID!

  • I want that background song O_O

  • this video's fucking annoying, and a false reppresentaion of living of the grid

  • @sweeetcheeba my thoughts exactly!

  • pretty hilarious video. thanks

  • @SEPALVIZION you're soooo welcome

  • @P0YKPAC

    This isnt ur vid

    u jackwagon!

  • God damn you grid!

  • this is very useful, only if you decide to hide from the law XD

  • Talk to at least 10 people who have lived off the grid for at least a YEAR to see HOW THEY DID IT! Do your research. Hint: If you can't survive the wilderness for a week, don't go off the grid willy-nilly without a GREAT DEAL of preparation.

  • pretty dumb at the start telling you to get rid of all your shit, sell and bank it cunt.

  • I'm glad I'm a nurse. My job makes me feel like I'm doing something meaningful. Most of the time.

  • Mt house is being foreclosed on, I have not had a job in over a year, I am in debt beyond belief to every possible creditor (including courts, DA office for "bad checks", etc.), and I have no prospects for jobs after submitting hundreds of applications, including applying with useless employment agencies. I am well on my way to dropping off the grid. FUCK employers, creditors, and the government being up my ass day after day! ;-)

  • 0:36 commonwealth bank ATMs..

  • shud i do this?????

  • I agree with both Kakudmi and P0YKPAC, I would just like to point out that "dropping off the map" is a wonderful thing. While I appreciate jokes in all aspects of life I think that it is important for comment readers to know that a lot of people would kill for that kind of life.

  • if you guys don't stop fighting i'll do something rash...like take out the garbage.

  • Thanks for posting this video.

  • This was very funny. nice job

  • this video seems so ironic to America's situation right now....it's funny-- but I feel bad about how many people's lives are affected.

  • don't forget to dumpster dive

  • I basically did that when I was younger....I have the little cubicle now. I would go back to it in a second, but "NO...the kid has to eat!!!"

  • whoops kinda F'd up your life and now your stuck...well thanks for adding to the overpopulation mess...and have fun fending off canibals when apocalypse comes..good luck

  • it was silly but i actually got some good ideas from it

  • POYKPAC ROCKS \m/ \m/

  • cool i like empty houses.maybe if enough get empty ill be able to buy one someday.the prices were getting out of hand

  • man i wish i could have one of those empty houses...

  • haha, "at least you're not sitting bored out of your mind in some box"

  • Lol...

  • you missed 4 dumbass

  • No, he didn't miss 4 dumbass.

  • OH MY GOD it looks like a hand.

  • This vid makes 30000th video i have seen.

  • Step 1: Move back in to parents house.

Step 2: Avoid getting into arguments with parents.

    Step 3: Sell old stuff.

    Step 4: ????

Step 5: Get a low paying job

    Step 6 : Profit

  • ☻/ bob lives!

    3. hold your breath for 10 seconds

    4. press refresh twice

    3. LOOK AT YOUR BACKGROUND IT WILL BE FREAKY

  • in the babies mouth lmfao....this should be on adult swim vs. tim and eric awesomely asinine show.

  • Primitive programming of younger generation into believing that living off the grid is stupid and shouldn't be done. This is a joke, right?

  • your kidding right? poykpac is a comedy channel, this is the type of humour they use, (mainly sarcastic humour). check out thier other vids! these guys are awesome

  • I know it is a humor, that much is obvious, but what you don't see is how this affects the minds of young people. Laughing at something makes it less valuable or less serious. Getting off the grid is a serious consideration of every intelligent person. Laughing at it makes it less important or less serious. And while, yes, we can laugh at anything, my point is still the same: this type of humor is a primitive programming which may discourage people from living off the grid.

  • reply to kakudmi

yea i think I see what you meen now.

The way you said "getting off the grid is a seious consideration of every intelligent person" is absolute tree hugging hippy crap to be absolutly honest, sorry.

"Primative programming" is also a bit of an over-reaction. But maybe (im not getting at you by the way) dropping off the grid has effected your life or others you know, maybe thats why you are saying this (maybe not but I dont think I should stay out of that).

  • Well i respect your opinion as i would to anyone but this isnt telling the young anything. chances are they have no idea what this means. but hey watever dude.

  • to kakudmi:

Laughing at something does not make it less important or less serious. In fact, laughing is usually a reaction to a truism, and some would even argue is a subconscious affirmation.

  • @kakudmi

    You are so fucking right,

off the grid living is the best way to live if you want the government out of your business & totally self reliant.

  • @kakudmi If you're off the grid or seriously considering getting off the grid, why the hell do you have a computer?

  • @blackberryjuice1

Because I am getting off of it, it is natural to have a period when one uses it less and less. I am using internet and comuter 60% less than 2 years ago.

In a few years, I anticipate to check my email once or twice a month.

  • @blackberryjuice1 just because he/she is getting off the grid doesnt mean they cant have all the modern things people on the grid have being off the grid simply means that you do everything yourself you create your own power(could use solar or wind to name a few)and in some cases grow your own food and basically do your own thing

  • @74dodge92 True.

  • @blackberryjuice1 sry i ment for that to be aimed @kadudmi

  • Dropping off the grid should be done under the following circumstances:

    - [Your list here]

  • LOL put the cash in the babies mouth

  • Awesome Video!

  • the wilderness is not recommended for entry-level drifters.. hilarious!

  • Why not sell your car and get some extra cash? Should get you at least a few hundred bucks instantly.

Step 1: Research survival, edible plants, how to make fire well in advance.

Step 2: Buy land in the wilderness if possible, if not just go into a vast wilderness area and set up a cabin. Use what money you have to buy seeds, a gun, garden tools, etc.

  • Yes but all of that would be sensible now wouldent it.

  • good photoshop

  • Commonwealth bank ATM's? See you changed them to green, but I cant forget that logo..

  • I watched a PBS program where a guy moved to Alaska, and pretty much lived on his own with nature and built a cabin and stuff like that so I think it might be possible, ut tough, to respond to phdecora, and nikbookworm.

  • I moved to Alaska, with my running water and electricity. This is how I benefit from living in Fairbanks, Alaska, there is even a refrigerator to keep my food cold.

  • Umm wow thats amazing. How do you think people survived before we had heating and air and all these everyday luxeries. Everyone built there own stuff and lived off the land.

  • wow even a refridgerator ?!

    caus no one has them

    sick burn

  • Well, not refridgerators that we use today, they were mainly a cold cellar or a hole in the group. Some really old homes still have them.

  • Hole in the ground I mean. sorry for my spelling.

  • Wait, before we had air?

    And heat was gone too?

sorry, just had to lol at what you said, i know what you meant though. =]

just read the part "before we had air" and don't think of it as AC.

  • I love your How To videos.

  • i love how hunter eats...lol

  • i love how you mixed 'into the wild' with 'office space', and that was only like the first 45 seconds.

  • funny

  • It all sounds so easy, Poykpac! I just hope I don't lose my hitching thumb in an abduction incident.

  • Ha I lost my job last week. It involved bieng in said cubicle!!!!! My worldly possesions are next!!!! I am well on my way!!!!

  • The future is bright!

  • living in the wilderness has rewards that society oftentimes will not provide. You learn to be self sufficient and not to depend on others. You discover abilities that you always knew you had but people always told you otherwise. As a result you gain self-esteem and confidence. It changes you for the better. On the down side you're always dirty and long for a good hot shower.

  • so-called 'independents' have to go to town every month or so to stock up on supplies. almost all truly subsistence farmers and hunter/gatherers live in social groups because its nearly impossible otherwise. being banished in pre-industrial society was a near-death sentence.

  • I disagree phdecora. Nature provides everything. It always has. It always will. Unless there is a nuclear winter or killer asteroid or something.

  • look, dont tell these people on youtube. go prove it. live, by yourself, in 'nature', without contact with anyone and with no instruments or supplies that were manufactured by another person (ie, you cant 'depend on others'). and tell chris mccandless that people are defiling his bus, he needs to come haunt it now and then.

  • who said anything about no gear?

  • you said you dont want to depend on anyone.. well , gear is made by 'other people', those evil fools.

  • phdecora, you abviously don't understand, humans evolved on tools, not themselves. That is why we always need guns or knives or whatever to fight. If we don't got that then we back off.

  • @nikbookworm If we could figure out how to take hot showers living off grid we would be A-OK lolz...

  • @nikbookworm Not to mention disease and the chance of being eaten alive by pissed off bears.

  • keep up the good work guys

  • HA! entry level drifters!!! Taige looks hot as a business man and a hobo!! I love how he leaves the dangerous area on foot - so happy doing it, haha - GO TAIGE!!! :) XOXO

  • I put some money in my dog this morning as a small start to dropping off the grid.

  • one last resort:

ask CNN to beam you up to the Mars (via hologram),

    lol

  • I applaud your respect for grammar.

  • who would want too leave society? but hey i loved the vid xD

  • These shorts always give me a good laugh. It's a subtle, internal laugh, but a laugh nonetheless.

Also, I think you did an excellent job with some blue/green screening. That baby shot was fantastic.

...er, I mean: WHAT blue/green screen?

  • 5 out of 5 - brilliant!

  • do i have to cancel my youtube account?

  • Outstanding! 5 stars! Bravo!

  • I will give it 5 stars, however I wish the wilderness was explored a little more.

  • mikma was here

  • so was imfromtambunan

  • Adverse Possesion. That was the most informative piece of public information that's been heard.

  • you guys should take over youtube!! eat youtubes butter supply. yeah?

  • You guys are so rad!! I can not stop watching this. haha!

  • Re-upped video makes my comment disappear :(

Anyway, where are the Hooverville's? That's the only thing lacking to make this a history class depression video.

  • haha.. Taige's faces throughout are hilarious!

  • I can't wait to drop off the grid!

  • This video was so timely.

I'm looking at foreclosure soon myself, and now I know what to do!

    Thanks, guys!

  • hey count me in! maybe we can start a fellowship

  • Share a boxcar whilst riding the rails?

    COZY!

  • yes!

  • hahaha. Thanks.

  • lol green screen.

  • Hehehe. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

  • wow, and I didn't think howcast videos could be made any funnier. congratulations.

  • FUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! ....... i think! lolololol IM ON A ROLLLLL

  • hah this is like "In to the Wild"

  • ive tried this like 8 times but missed sex with non-transients.

  • True, transients tend to stank since they own no sinks with running water..LOL!

  • Very informative. I know this is comedy but I think their is a side of everyone who would like to test themselves in this way, well, at least until its time to do number 2.

  • a rather whimsical video

  • You might want to elaborate. (What?!)

  • oh sorry

  • It's a Howcast video, but the actors are from POYKPAC. It's not stolen

  • Well, we also wrote/directed/edited it.

Our old friends at Howcast decided to let us put it up on our channel - check out their site if you haven't already (link in the side bar).

  • plus, this video is funny..

  • epic

  • lol.. nice vid
