And whats up with the typical "aviators and porn star mustache" cop? Might as well give him an afro and Chicago accent and make him say "I'm bringin ya DOWNTOWN PUNK"
rodney was high on crack driving through a neighborhood full of kids running from the cops at what like 150mph?!?! yeah he deserve to get beat. fuckin punk!!!!
Cops should take care of everybody. Not just "thier own". I don't think the maker of this skit "sold out". This video is funny to most people because it makes light of an everyday common problem. Well put together! Thank-You Connie! I find your humour tasteful, and funny!....and I didn't believe for one second that this was "official training video" ha!
somebody breaks into your house, you don't call the police? Somebody steals your car, you use your super awesome P.I. skills to hunt down the thief and deliver street justice? Somebody has been watching too many movies. I'm not saying just because you get into an argument or fight that you should call the cops, but don't act like you would never need them either.
dude its just the hippies and criminals who want to be mad at cops for doing their jobs. Look at the host of the show. They are the first ones to bash cops, yet they are also the first ones to call the cops when "their rights have been violated." People just have no respect anymore.
are there still hippies? of coarse criminals are mad at police. dosent that make sense to you? its hard to call the cops when my rights are being violated, its the cops violating them.
Wayy wrong w22...No hippie here, former police officer and veteran Air Force Security Police. This sketch only should bother cops who abuse their position, not those who are good officers. The good cops realize that we have a lot of bad ones in the career that shouldn't be there as revealed frequently in abusive videos featuring LAPD, New York City, San Francisco and others with growing regularity. That's why I made this comedy sketch to address this important issue. You're way off base.
so in order to acknowledge that there are bad apples in law enforcement (which i also acknowledge) you made a video which portrays ALL cops as being overbearing assholes just looking to beat the crap out of people. Way to throw the good cops under the bus too. You should be super proud of yourself. I'm glad I never had to trust you to watch my back...
i have been a cop for 8 years and I seriously doubt that you were a 1. Good cop 2. a cop for very long 3. you were probably fired in my 8 years I have personally NEVER witnessed any improper use of force or any officer theft or bribes being taken...not that it doesnt happen but you are saying that it hapens "a lot" the only corrupt shit i see is from the chain of command like the chiefs and their underlings, those people are not cops, they are polliticians.. U R mad @ something
Everyone in the law enfrocement community knows that Military law enforcement is a joke and that no one takes them serious outside their bases...they are just a bunch of 18 year old kids with rifles and no proffesional experience or demeanor
Just so everyone knows, this guys full of shit, there are some idiots that believe this, but the vast majority of law enforcement officers aren't this stupid.
many places in NFLD Canada have no police. in fact, i have lived somewhere where there are no police. it was peaceful. virtually NO crime rate. visit Newfoundland. nicest people in Canada, and very little police.(they have police in larger cities St.John's, Gander, Grand Falls.etc.)
actually every cop isn't like this, but at least 9 out of ten are, especially Torrance PD there the worse. It would seem as if the people who become policemen do it because there vindictive of the world, haven't met too many cops who really care for people, its more like their just working 9 to five. If your going to be an ass like this comical skit get the fuck out of the force.
Yes, before i found a sense of humor to approach the topic, it obviously disappointed me too...too many in the career who don't belong there, and too many who cover up their abuse in a good ole boy system. It needs to change, and in order to change it, we have to stop pretending it doesn't exist, when it is all too common. LAPD has made some progress, but has a long, long way to go.
If you were a LEO as you claim to be in pages back, then you would know why Police Officers working dangerous beats opt to have their flashlight out instead of a baton. If you were a former LEO, then why did you not mention it on your bio on your page? Also, if you were a former LEO you would know most of those beatings were justified, with the exception of a few such as Rodney King
Please do not stereotype cops, Ms. Bryan, or lie to try to prove a point. Please respond! Thank you.
lol, oh I'll respond alright... you don't know what you are talking about, lol, and you're response sounds silly and ill informed. If YOU knew the drill, you'd know that most agencies are doing a lot of training and have for some time since Rodney King, to keep their officers from opening them up to a huge lawsuit by hitting someone with a flashlight unless it is as a LAST RESORT, which is the whole message in this video. Such use of flashlight by LEO opens departments to major liability.
Good point, and a valid one! Many departments are actually switching flashlights to prevent potential misuse. The Maglites were never intended to be used as a baton. Your point in the fact that they shouldn't be used as a primary defense tool is valid. But, many LEOs choose to have Maglites is that when entering a potential "ambush" area, they can have them out not only for light but for self-defense - when drawing your baton is not warranted and will only instigate things.
cops are so heavily armed and well funded they are under no threat whatsoever. anyone who says so is looking for a pat on the back for being a fake hero.
I can prove you wrong. Go to odmp(DOT)org(FORWARDSLASH)year(DOT)php. 115 officers killed in the line of duty in 2008, and you say they're out of danger? Explain the danger officers were exposed to in 9/11? I don't understand your viewpoint, it's illogical.
By the way, looking at your videos - I'm alarmed. Very alarmed, and your attitude towards the Police just futhers my concern you're disturbed. I suggest a quick change in your attitude, it's disturbing on many levels.
i tried your link i cant make it work. regardless, you know as well as i do nomatter what you research you will find pro-police or anti-police attitudes. goes with anything. ultimately YOU will belive whatever you want.
is red wine good for you or bad for you? how bout peanut butter? coffee? cops? depends what you read.
"Officer Randy Simmons was shot and killed as he and other members of the Los Angeles SWAT Team made entry into a home at approximately 12:30 am. The team had been deployed to the home after a suspect inside called 911 and claimed to have murdered three family members.
As the team entered, the suspect opened fire,
He is survived by his wife, two children, parents, and two sisters."
The officer died, and suspect killed another. Explain that.
Correct...I couldn't think of anything else that closely resembled the cheap plastic shape of the police tasers they carry...doubted I'd find a cop who'd let me borrow one, lol.
You all have valid points to why your biased against peace officers. And yes they are a focal point in the media when it comes to negligence on their end. But none of you ever see the honorable mentions of officers who do not beat their wives, kids, etc and do their job faithfully. The ones who pull drunk drivers off the road so your spouses drive safely at night.. or the ones who stop domestic violence calls, or the ones who catch rapists... if u think all cops are pigs then your just ignorant
We are aware of some that are good, but they are the exception to the rule. I was a really good cop, but the more I did my job as a public servant, the harder there was an effort by a big faction on the agency to push me out, and ultimately they succeeded. I know first hand and have heard countless accounts of the same from others that we have a HUGE problem with good ole' boys in the career for the wrong reason, which leads to horrible abuse of the badge. That is what needs the focus right now!
look fuck every1 that dnt like cops, they put there lives on tha line everyday so u can sleep comfy with ur night light on. and whats tha dif between use n a steel flash light or using a steel baton?
I'm sorry you feel that way. You must've gotten a ticket, or had a negative experience with an authority figure, and therefore, feel the need to take our your anger on an authority figure because of your own insecurity. I feel sorry for you and your false information you subjected yourself to. I hope you get better sometime. Good day!
i will always have a personal vendetta against pigs. has nothing to do with a ticket or any other bullshit. its their attitude. they think they are special. they dont help. they blindly generate revenue(tickets, fines) they serve and protect the property of corporations. not people. shoplifter at wal-mart the cop is there in 5 minutes. somebody steals my bike the cop never comes. good day! (flips the bird)
Exactly my point. That king of attitude just gets you in trouble. Having a vendetta against something that will ALWAYS win is a foolhardy one. I did not cuss at you, not did I attack you personally, only expressed my concerns. I would appreicate it if you can return the same respect. You do realize, if your bike is stolen the license plate and the model is recorded and the next time that is pulled over, it is flagged? It's hard to catch a stolen car after it's been gone a long time. Bye (waves)
Well, sir, if you're not encouraging violence but make your local law enforce do work then I'm sure that's a good thing. Each department is different.
thank-you. i appreciate your comments and arguement. i appreciate you restraining from vulgarity as well. i hope you enjoyed healthy debate as well. i can leave this convo knowing you keep respect and civil. thank-you night.
So what your saying is that there good for nothing.. Let me tell you something, what about the kids that have been abused and neglected and the cops came and took their parents to jail and made sure the kids went to a better home. what about taking innocent children out of meth labs and around drug users as well. You really need to get a grip on reality. You are showing so much dis respect to this video.
what im saying is, their job is less dangerous than most think, mainly beacuse of the media. i think this video is protraying similar views, so im not really disrespecting it.
backasore I'm seriouse go onto policelink and you will see. I was shocked cause once a week I would actually get an e-mail from a news site that would say about an officer died in the line of duty. Just because you don't see it on national news doesn't mean it's on local news.. If you really did research it then you would see it diffrent..
of course a website named policelink is going to lean opinions in one way. you will find whatever you want to find on the internet. its up to you to belive what you want. we obviously have different beliefs. as you can see i have done my research.
backasore.. you really must not be educated at all cause you really need to do real research. what i have told you before is that you need get a reality check and do some real research. Yes that link does provide info for being in law enforcement but it also lets you in on local news.. so what are you saying that the news is lying when ever it says that an officer is down?
ok i have newer statistics.. ten most dangerous jobs in 2007 deaths per 100 000 (forbes) 1.Fishermen 111.8 2.Loggers 86.4 3.Pilots 66.7 4.Iron workers 45.5 5.Farmers 38.4 6.Roofers 29.4 7.Electrician 29.1 8.Drivers 26.2 9.Garbagemen 22.8 and last but not least... 10.Police 21.4 keep in mind these are statistics from 2007
Very nice posting, backasore. It is true that law enforcement is not AS dangerous as some cops like to portray, and it is amazing to me how many of them do not approach the job as 'public servants'. I have personally witnessed this over and over. The wrong people going into the career and being accepted in an 'us against them' good ole' boy fraternity. And those good cops who don't conform often get railroaded out...yet they are the ones we need in that job. The job is dangerous, admittedly.
You are obviously the lowly educated one. I don't know where you're from, but cops in my state are very educated, and highly trained. In fact, many agencies require an AA degree or 60 college units to be able to apply. Many agencies also have incentive programs for their officers to continue their college education. As far as your stupid comment about cops beating their wife and kids; If a cop so much as laid a finger on their wife or kids, they would lose their job and go to jail.
Kidd, you are living in a fairy world...still have a lot to learn about the caliber of person all to often that is common in law enforcement. There are some good ones, but many, many who are a good ole' boy fraternity that do not approach the job as public servants. Instead they see themselves as above the public, rather than serving the public. Most have a very unhealthy ego problem that leads to poor discretion and abuse, both verbal, physical and legal.
I'm not sure I see your point. Is the use of the flashlight as a weapon by a police officer somehow bad? Why should they not use the flashlight? Here in Illinois, the large steel flashlight has been replaced by a small stinger flashlight. However, using this flashlight actually makes it harder for the police officer to do their job. They have to carry an extra piece of equipment, thus they have more to juggle during a potential confrontation.
What I mean by this is that, why should the offender--who has done something wrong--be saved from a (potentially) slightly-more-severe injury at the expense of the police officer's ability to deal with a situation effectively? You worry too much about the offender and too little about the police.
I'm a former police officer, and care very much about cops...those who don't abuse their power. The 'point' on this sketch is clear, that we still have a problem with police who are quick to be abusive, and they should be wearing the badge. L.A.P.D. has a serious history of this, especially with abuse with a flashlight. Thanks for watching:)
CB, This is funny! I don't know any Cop who would over react this way! This guy never failed the attitude test! LOL! My answer to each question for laughs would be all of the above if I was retarded! LMAO!!!
This is some funny shit! I remember seeing this video as part of my LAPD training! One question, you did not show how to give an LAPD flashlight beating! "WE TREAT YOU LIKE A KING!" The driver needed some "STICK TIME!"
amazing what middle aged ,unemployed "meth" head can do when they "find"( steal) a camcorder-I'll be looking for that van when its parked next to the beach in a no stopping area and they are living in it...
mrkg1...where's your sense of humor...there's no thieves, meth heads, or drug users of any kind in my sketch. You sound like a cop who doesn't deserve to wear the badge, which is what this sketch is about.

familyof5419 3 years ago
actually thier job is not that dangerous. fishermen, construction workers, even garbagemen have a much more dangerous job
police work dosent even rank in the top 10 most dangerous jobs.

You're out of touch with reality, aren't you, backasore?
imanidiot911truther 3 years ago
nope. just understand pigs.
backasore 3 years ago
I'm sorry you feel that way. You must've gotten a ticket, or had a negative experience with an authority figure, and therefore, feel the need to take our your anger on an authority figure because of your own insecurity. I feel sorry for you and your false information you subjected yourself to. I hope you get better sometime. Good day!
imanidiot911truther 3 years ago
i will always have a personal vendetta against pigs. has nothing to do with a ticket or any other bullshit. its their attitude. they think they are special. they dont help. they blindly generate revenue(tickets, fines) they serve and protect the property of corporations. not people. shoplifter at wal-mart the cop is there in 5 minutes. somebody steals my bike the cop never comes. good day! (flips the bird)
backasore 3 years ago
Exactly my point. That king of attitude just gets you in trouble. Having a vendetta against something that will ALWAYS win is a foolhardy one. I did not cuss at you, not did I attack you personally, only expressed my concerns. I would appreicate it if you can return the same respect. You do realize, if your bike is stolen the license plate and the model is recorded and the next time that is pulled over, it is flagged? It's hard to catch a stolen car after it's been gone a long time. Bye (waves)

i have fought the police and won. twice. i made them do thier work. and i loved it.
backasore 3 years ago
Well, sir, if you're not encouraging violence but make your local law enforce do work then I'm sure that's a good thing. Each department is different.
imanidiot911truther 3 years ago
thank-you. i appreciate your comments and arguement. i appreciate you restraining from vulgarity as well. i hope you enjoyed healthy debate as well. i can leave this convo knowing you keep respect and civil. thank-you night.

So what your saying is that there good for nothing.. Let me tell you something, what about the kids that have been abused and neglected and the cops came and took their parents to jail and made sure the kids went to a better home. what about taking innocent children out of meth labs and around drug users as well. You really need to get a grip on reality. You are showing so much dis respect to this video.
hunterandlogger1977 3 years ago
what im saying is, their job is less dangerous than most think, mainly beacuse of the media. i think this video is protraying similar views, so im not really disrespecting it.

backasore I'm seriouse go onto policelink and you will see. I was shocked cause once a week I would actually get an e-mail from a news site that would say about an officer died in the line of duty. Just because you don't see it on national news doesn't mean it's on local news.. If you really did research it then you would see it diffrent..
hunterandlogger1977 3 years ago
of course a website named policelink is going to lean opinions in one way. you will find whatever you want to find on the internet. its up to you to belive what you want. we obviously have different beliefs. as you can see i have done my research.
backasore 3 years ago
backasore.. you really must not be educated at all cause you really need to do real research. what i have told you before is that you need get a reality check and do some real research. Yes that link does provide info for being in law enforcement but it also lets you in on local news.. so what are you saying that the news is lying when ever it says that an officer is down?

these deaths may not be as sensational or heroic as police deaths, so they dont get as much exposure.

The job is dangerous, admittedly.
conniebryan 3 years ago
You are obviously the lowly educated one. I don't know where you're from, but cops in my state are very educated, and highly trained. In fact, many agencies require an AA degree or 60 college units to be able to apply. Many agencies also have incentive programs for their officers to continue their college education. As far as your stupid comment about cops beating their wife and kids; If a cop so much as laid a finger on their wife or kids, they would lose their job and go to jail.
kiddorbitz01 3 years ago 2

PersonMan1234 4 years ago 3
What I mean by this is that, why should the offender--who has done something wrong--be saved from a (potentially) slightly-more-severe injury at the expense of the police officer's ability to deal with a situation effectively? You worry too much about the offender and too little about the police.
PersonMan1234 4 years ago
I'm a former police officer, and care very much about cops...those who don't abuse their power. The 'point' on this sketch is clear, that we still have a problem with police who are quick to be abusive, and they should be wearing the badge. L.A.P.D. has a serious history of this, especially with abuse with a flashlight. Thanks for watching:)
conniebryan 4 years ago
...sorry, I meant should NOT be wearing the badge.

9adam83 4 years ago
scsomacdaddy, fear614, TURBOTENSION, NTHB520 & Patlush have obviously never been brutalized by the L.A.P.D. for no good reason!
blarn24 4 years ago
Actually, that's not funny at all. If you're stupid enough to make the police hit you with the flashlight, you deserve it.
fear614 4 years ago 2
yes that is funny so calm down cop lover. Maybe now yo will spout out about how police never abuse their power.Get a sense of humor macdaddy

amazing what middle aged ,unemployed "meth" head can do when they "find"( steal) a camcorder-I'll be looking for that van when its parked next to the beach in a no stopping area and they are living in it...
mrkg1 4 years ago 2
mrkg1...where's your sense of humor...there's no thieves, meth heads, or drug users of any kind in my sketch. You sound like a cop who doesn't deserve to wear the badge, which is what this sketch is about.
