@StudioVibe It's a Pocket Pokedex for the HeartGold and Soulsilver games. My husband got this one from WalMart for 10 dollars. I didn't use it for this drawing- I just draw oshawott so much I could draw it with my eyes closed. LOL.
For unova pokemon I use pokemondb(dot)net, but I like the book for accuracy with printed colors.
Ooh! Can you do how to color actual water like on the beach? I never knew how to make it look so real.. The white for the reflection confuses me. It would be really helpful ^-^
Thank you so much for posting all these videos! I love your tutorials they help me out in my manga drawings alot. This was helpful because I am doing an underwater drawing. :) Thanks
Wow! Amazing! I saw in a copic book that if you color a gradient of blues messily, you could sprinkle rubbing alcohol or colorless blender refill and it would look like that, but its amazing how you got that effect by just coloring normally!
Wow this was really helpful! You're truly amazing at creating backgrounds XD I love the different color schemes you use. Do you think you could make tutorial on how to color light glowing on objects in a night scene?
@camileria Aw, no worries! Everyone forgets to do things in their artwork- it's part of learning and growing as an artist. I guess the hardest part of learning is looking at your mistakes and asking yourself what could be done differently next time. I used to do underwater drawings by leaving patches of white and coloring around them- but then I looked at my swimingsuit underwater in the pool and noticed it was the other way around. D'OH! lol
@mnmarcel Sure you can, all you need to do is practice. Before I tried drawing something underwater like this I thought "there is no way someone could use copics to draw an underwater scene" , but I decided to challenge myself and after a few attempts I was able to do it :)
@ArtByKarenEHaley if you look at it that way then I guess it's pretty easy XD
I don't feel that you left anything out... the tips with coloring lighter than the base color and reflective lighting make a lot of sense, and the coloring is much more logical that way. That's one of the things I find so appealing about the way you color~
@ArtByKarenEHaley I just found it and ordered it. Thanks so much! Its a pain to look up ondovodual references.

@VivianAndLozo I'm glad it was helpful! Sometimes I feel like I left bits out...
They are easy though ;) It's just a gradation and then a bunch of random patches of color when you think about it.
