nice vids...i have a question, why sketch is so important? cant u just start without sketching like real drawing? for example e saw some artist doing portraits and thy didnt sketch , they just start drawing real accurate plz answer me =)

i know im working harder ,because of my lead pencil from my charcoal kit,after a while i figured it out and said whats the difference,thanks for the tips,they where useful.

"charcoals the best" uh, no douche its not. if anything i think graphite would be better. its lighter, and doesnt smudge off like charcoal does. acrylic definitely covers graphite pencil, unless you render the picture completely with pencil first. the pencil might show through the first wash, with like tonal structure, but after the first layer it should be completely gone

...i only paint with watercolor and acrylic and with acrylic i always sketch with pencil..and it never shows.

i don't know about oil, but u can definitely sketch with pencil when doing acrylic with no problem.

You're not making any sense whatsoever...

I just said that it's possible to draw with pencil on canvas before painting with acrylic and it's doesn't show if u do it right.

but he says that u shouldn't do it because it does show....

and then u come and say that he doesn't know how to sketch with charcoal the right way? what's that have to do with my comment?

and secondly i didn't even understand what u we're saying at first since i made quite a few statements in my post and you could have at least indicate what you we're referring 2 in the first place and i think i finally understand what u mean, and if i do understand correctly i think they shouldn't have used this guy to explain in the first place, can we both agree on that??

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you about using charcoal to sketch. It's much better to just draw with your paint brush using thinned down paint. Charcoal mixes with the paint and makes it look dirty.
