Greetings, dumbass.. I saw ironman 2 tonight for the frst time. I HATED number 1. This number 2 was great. It was just as good a Spiderman 1. As for you touch on Tony's alcoholism, he does come off as a playboy party animal but I feel it's due to the combination of the real life personality of Robert Downy Jr. trying to portray Tony with executive producers running behind him wanting to make changes. Tony's alcoholism in the comics has the luxury of time to spread out the message of Tony's problems, stress, and impact where as Film only has a couple of hours give or take some minutes and has to try and convey the same message...con't

4) that's just a minor technicality, I feel Tony's on-screen portrayal as you mentioned to satisfy his ego and control freak tendencies is accurate as Tony's intellect knows that in the wrong hands the Armour will be disasterous and he is the only one who can control this. The different ways he deals with his responsibility that we see on screen i think is very well done, again given the time a film is alloted as opposed toa book or comic. 5) I loved the movie but you are correct in that it was not as good as the first but I think you are being a bit too harsh in calling it worse that Spider man 3, not much can be worse than spider man 3. As for you dig at the directors, they don't have it easy, they have to find that right correct balance between action lovers, film lovers, comic lovers otherwise one side or another will get all huffy, so give them a break please, they don't have it easy. @RisingVictor Arguable Victor the problem lies in that the storylines were a bit rushed and did not give much time to develop. Venom for example was very much changed from the original. HOWEVER, I do agree that it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either, it was......mediocure. very mild and arguably on the same level as Batman & Robin, or Ghost Rider, or the second Fantastic four.

Also, I will agree on your point about how the villians in this film don't really serve as a significant threat to the hero. Obidiah Stane was more of a threatening villian then Whiplash because he literally almost killed Tony in the end. Plus, the whole subplot about how he was dealing his weapons behind his back to terrorists showed how ruthless and careless he was as a person. I'm hoping the Mandarin will be more of a ruthless villain, along the lines of Joker: one who pulls no punches.

I totally agree. Rarely does one see in a film, a bad guy that is just bad because he/she wants to be. I can say that The Dark Knight kind of pulled this off with the joker. yes, he was insane; but for the most part he was just bad because he felt like it. Then of course that was kind of ruined when Two-face made his apearence. I felt so bad for him that i actually started to hate the good guys at the end of that movie.

I fell asleep 3 times threw the movie. only thing the woke me up was the fighting, the hot chick doing the acrobatics and the end scene... missed half the movie but I still understood it what was going on. So all that shit I missed must have been pretty useless to the story line. They REALLY don't have any good villains anymore.
