  • I thought the penguin looked like an early Daffy Duck.

Cracked me up so much that he kept turning into that silk top hat! That was the funniest part aside from whenever Porky would stutter, which wasn't near enough! I never get enough of Porky's stuttering!

    Thx for the upload!

  • Now that's the kind of silk worm I'd like! No more taking trips to the clothing store for 'you-know-whats' (I'm a girl, just in case you don't know what I mean).

But either way I'd like pet silk worms. Back in elementary school a classroom near mine raised some and I found them cute.

  • happybirthdayporky

  • He takes the sock out of his ice cream.

    "Yooowll..."

I don't know why, but I find that very funny.

  • i prefer the digital colorised version on the Looney Tunes bumper collection volume 8 2 VHS set, even though that copy jumps around and looks very dark.

  • Now I'm hungry for some Ice Cream.

  • @Joemamma69000 and I'm hungry for some pork

  • The song introduced as Porky is reading the telegram is "Sissy". Bing Crosby recorded it: "Honey, you're a sissy, too afraid to fall in love".

  • How come the bug only sews female clothing?

  • @TimeForFunGuy Only women wore tophats and socks?

  • @dualauto13

oh, except for tophats and socks. my mistake.

  • Black Fury looks like a younger version of Rover from Rover's Rival.

  • Was that penguin just eating whipped cream without any pastry to eat with?

  • LOL that bug was sewing a bra. How can this cartoon go uncensored?

  • The penguin's so cute when he's really hungry or angry.

  • It was said that that Petunia Pig and Gabby Goat were originally supposed to be porky's party guests on the drawing board at the Warner Studios. But for unknown reasons they were taken out and replaced.

  • The character who comes in at 2:45 was originally intended to be Gabby, but he was phased out in favor of a hungry penguin.

  • Originally released in June 1938, and one of Bob Clampett's typical "free-for-all" cartoons of this period. Chuck Jones animates "Black Fury". Great score by Carl Stalling!
