When Omar goes Mike steps up into the same role. same problems just passed on to the next generation. Until these major problems are fixed things will be the same in places like Baltimore.

i think a lot of people see michael's potential 2 be gr8 in a lot of different things from marlo and bodie 2 cutty and prez. it's sad he had 2 go down the path he did.
Michael's character shows in this scene to be light years ahead of the other kids. I liked how they always made him seem like he was preoccupied, like he'd rather be somewhere else.
Of course he can't just retire, but fact is, the wire is the best written most complex show in existence. I would wager there was more depth to Michael's character on the wire than the entire cast of that 90210 nonsense.
The Wire was great, but like anything else that is associated with greatness, it will be AWHILE before anything else comes out that comes close to what it brought to the screen... With that being said I'm happy Tristan Wilds is still working. Its not easy acting, its even harder when you are black. The Wire was great, but like anything else that is associated with greatness, it will be AWHILE before anything else comes out that comes close to what it brought to the screen... With that being said I'm happy Tristan Wilds is still working. Its not easy acting, its even harder when you are black. I hope he makes good choices so he will have a chance to play another great character like Mike Lee in the future. And its not fair to compare 90210 to the Wire. 2 completely different shows.

@sphantyle Thank you man. Street life needs not to be glamorized. A normal life, with normal people, making an honest living and having a peace of mind is what will keep you happy. Street life is tough, dirty, and disgusting. And it makes a lot of mothers cry out there, it causes a lot of pain for everyone, but I especially feel sorry for all the moms out there struggling with their kids on the wrong path.
