That is one steep and high location on loose rock. Maybe 131paval would like to take his own machine there and try for himself without assistance. I am sure someone will have a gas axe handy to cut up the remains of 131pavel machine.
Rubbish, for a start, that 360 should have been able to pull or push itself up the slope; without the tow cable. The driver must have been inexperienced. I have been operating diggers for forty years, and I could have done that cable free and on my own, blindfolded.
The breaking strain of the steel cable must be considerable, but I too am puzzled as to why you did not drive it up the road? Only the dump truck that appeared to do the pulling had to get up there somehow?
If the dump truck was pulling, was it going up a similar slope also?
Incidentally, the guy who had to get in the cab as the tracks seemed to be digging into the slate-If he doesn't own the company or is a partner, then you are not paying him enough...
Out of intrest could you have fitted the bucket the other way around? I.e. so it would 'ski' as you moved up hill letting you keep it in (or very near) ground contact...
Certainly it was not just the cable that was steel so were the balls! (and they must be BIG ones!)
Excellent! I remember watching you reverse a JCB down from the top with a slab of slate the size of a snooker table jammed in the back arm and another yowg bit in the jaws...
