This is the only song from the NES MegaMan games that I flat out don't like. It's WAAAAY too "Japanese-sounding" for my tastes. Heck, even Yamato Man's song wasn't as Japanese as this. It would've been OK had the stage been oriental-themed, but as it stands it just feels so out of place, IMO.

the phrasing is typical of more traditional japanese music (as is the use of a pentatonic scale) it's very japanese, I would never say 'too' japanese, though

Hey, RockyRan...Have you ever heard of "RockMan"? ...Oh wait...You only know him as "MEGA"Man, don't you? Capcom is a japan based videogame company. And guess what they produce? JAPANESE VIDEO GAMES! SURPRISE!! So, I guess my point is that even if the theme for this stage DID sound japanese to you, that Rock-or-Megaman is from japan. And ALL of MegaMan 9's Music KICKS ASS!
