Any word on an update on these remixes that you are doing for Tori? I am DYING to hear more!! IS this for a remix project album or has the project been scrapped. thank you
really like the piano edits.. funny thing about sounds in reverse, everything has a new perspective as far as sound is concerned.. although tonally it can often be the same..
Paniq303 - stumbleupon is about discovering truly original things like this, I thumbed it up because it great to see how someone is going about remixing the music of an iconic artist like tori Amos, it's fantastic to see!
You're not stupid paniq303 I guess you're just not interested in music technology. If you don't find this really interesting you should probably take it off your stumbleupon interests :)
Mmm paniq303, I guess the problem with you presenting your remix is that it would never happen. Why? Because no one, least of all Tori Amos knows who the fuck you are. So I guess you'll have to spend most of your time trolling and advertising your jealousy of other people who are where you can only dream to be.
I found this really interesting simply because it shows one persons process when remixing. What's not to like? I don't have to agree with the process...
I think reversed stuff sounds especially good with just a touch of a good spring verb on it. No chorus or flange, maybe a tight echo, but that sense of space that makes the sound real. Dig?
So are we ever gonna hear the finished result of this remix or what??

First reversed piano part reminds me of beginning of "Sweet Thing" by David Bowie on the "Diamond Dogs" album......

In regard to the reverse piano, lose the attack on the end of the notes, it'll sound better. Otherwise you risk going for a glitchy Justice remix

i use Logic, not near mastering it since i've only had it for 3 months. I personally don't care for reversed piano at all lol

Oh, love to hear it when it's done!

It's fantastic to see artists share their process.
I think most don't because they're often produced by other people. I can't think of many who are truly independent.
Thanks Tara for sharing this with us, I can't wait for part 3
