The ones that stayed, are abusing Israel's national security funds daily. They do not want to sign peace treaty, because they still dreaming about destroying Israel. Now when you say "brutal", do you mean "brutal" like constant terror attacks?

@EladGolan I'm not the blind one here. The original partition plan was rejected because in practive it would lead to mass numbers of people being kicked out of their homes. When people said no to this, they were invaded. Thus began the 6 day war.

They aren't terror attacks. That's like saying the warsaw ghetto uprising was an act of "Jewish Terrorism". If IDF soldiers daily tried to kick you out of your home with a bulldozer, wouldn't you fight back?

I'm especially worried because the it seems like the real issues (which is the conflict going on) are not the core issue and are just being used to brainwash others to have a bias against Israel using the pal. people as peons.

When I read and hear what the arabs (leadership and clergy) say - I'm not optimistic, but when I see what happens in the rest of the world concerning us - I'm very pessimistic.

I'm not sure what you mean recent events though... unfortunately stuff are happening in this region all the time (and the biggest right now are not even directly connected to israel). The most exceptional thing in Israel's behavior is actually this protest... :)

the only reason Israel gets American aid is to buy from American arms companies. it is a good way to pump money back to the economy. Israel wanted to stop the aid in order to manufacture on it's on, but the American would have none of that.

as far as history goes, Israel never made a direct attack on civilians.

At least 919,967 people have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since the U.S. and coalition attacked in israel 6430.
