  • Thank you so so much again! PLEASE keep up with this great work, now I will be watching your videos regularly to be more self-aware. Maybe please make some video about how to behave with others, about derealisation, and how to balance your system of life plans (too high 'amibtions', too quickly changed life plans).. Well, I will appreciate any new video. Cheers from Poland!

  • your awesome :D

  • Do you have BPD?

  • that makes sense and thanks for the advice. Will defiantly come in handy next time hopefully i can pray that there will never be a next time. :)

  • Awesome videos man! Think you should do the next one about how you can control the five faces and be aware of when you do them yourself. I believe that could really help us BPDs to get back to "The healthy adult". Thank you for the work you do! / Swedie

  • thank you for this video!

  • i have an question for you and im sorry if it sounds a little awkward. i've just been diagnosed with BPD and i've been watching your videos all day nodding my head saying yes i do that. you said you replaced your anger so you have anxiety instead of anger. is that difficult to do and is it something you have to train yourself to do such as years of practice? i dont like myself when i blow up and its not a pretty sight.

  • @DamnitBobProductions For me it have helps to confirm that I'm angry. Say to urself "I'm pissed and I fucking hate that asshole! I wanna take a big stick and hit him with it before i break it, make it the ugly stick and makes sure he'll never get laid again!!" It is stupid, I know that, but it helps to ventilate your emotion. If that doesnt help or if you are with the person you're angry with, tell them to gtfo before you burst in to flames. They'll just have to respect that or meet your fury ^^

  • I love you and your videos they help me understand more your great

  • YOUR AWESOME love your vids great help..

  • Wow, please marry me.

Sexy and smart and understanding. God, I love you!

  • This guy is so good!!! I tried to watch the 5 Faces but it quit working about 3 min. into the video hope it gets fixed!! TU

  • I love how he runs to the store at 00:42 lol

  • Hey man, I have just discover BPD while looking into personality disorders to try to explain problems I've had with relationships my whole life. Seems to all fit but I will go and see a professional for a diagnosis. Thanks for the videos they are giving me a great in-site and hope that there is something that can be done to alleviate the symptoms.

  • Dude you are freakin goddamn awesome. Just, idk, awesome. awesome. awesome.

  • Thank you again! Please can you venture into the big R... Relationships. I have just come through a relationship with a fellow BPD. We could not let go and we distroyed each other in the end. We still have contact at a bare minimim. I have now found a dear friend in her and we are both getting help. I have told her of these videos as I have learnt so much from you. It's so nice to know I am not alone anymore..

  • wow man I really love your videos, I've had treatment for BPD for over 2 years now (wish I stumbled across them earlier) most my symptoms barley show anymore and I see the world in a completely different way now and im pretty much a completely different person

But I have one thing I have noticed is that most BPD sufferers (or ex-sufferers) are extremely charismatic! I think it would probably be due to all the mental suffering they have to go through

keep up the great work man

  • @dbob1048 Thank you.

  • Wow. Your party scenario actually happened to me last month. I spent the whole month avoiding my class friends (not sitting next to them), because I was so hurt they "didn't invite me". Turns out they did not know I was going to that activity since I ham a class ahead of them. You are bomb. I never thought my depression could just be being sad something bad had happened...wow...thx! are you a psychologist? or how did you learn all this stuff?

  • my daughter was recently diagnosed with BPD. it has been so hard for me to understamd why she does what she does. this video is awesome and helped me see inside her a little. Thank you!

  • dude you are real awesome!

  • @TheScarecrowNinja :D thank you!!

  • Sometimes i think i have BPD mainly cos of my highs and lows, but who knows. Hope your good x x

  • @crimsontears85 It sucks to feel that way sometimes doesn't it. (highs and lows)

Hope you are doing ok today. xxx

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable Tell me about it, i went from running round the office today like a mad person to sitting in the corner not wanting to talk to anyone, thankfully i have fantastic friends xxx

  • Love the editing. Another great video!

  • @agrava100 Thanks !! :D

  • I've decided to make a playlist of great advice given to me by others on here, this one is a new favorite of mine, so it's starting up the playlist. :) Awesome vids Bas!

  • @NINARCADE Hey ryan, wow thanks that's awesome!

  • gr8 vid!:)

  • @makingmoviesofme thanks! :)

  • Oh I've had extreme emotions thru out my life lol. I also react way too quickly when I'm overwhelmed and then I regret my reaction lol. I love your accent and you sure do make a lot of sense. I am really going to enjoy your vids. I suffer from what is known as social anxiety. I think it stems from my childhood. Thank you so much for this upload.

  • @squinceyluvgoddess1 You are welcome of course. I hope you are ok and are able to deal with that social anxiety you mentioned. take care ok.

  • i know exactly what you mean about example #1. your video was great as always. & i really like the editing you did. it's good to see you back. all the best my friend.

  • @PutMe6FeetDeep Thank you so much George! It's always so great to read your comments! Thank you for that!

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable Hey Bas, thank you for your videos they are very informative and helpful to me. Is keeping a diary a good way of expressing my emotions everyday? I have an inferiority complex and i think this may help me. I would be pleased to hear from you

  • Hey Bas, thank you for your videos they are very informative and helpful to me. Is keeping a diary a good way of expressing my emotions everyday? I have an inferiority complex and i think this may help me. I would be pleased to hear from you

  • @paratrooperOC1992 Hey :)

Yes i think that would be a very good way to express yourself. I find it very difficult to keep a dairy on a daily basis but if you can..GO FOR IT! And when you do, try to write down at least 3 positive things that happened that day. (like for example: you got a great grade or promotion but it could also be a little thing like being on time somewhere) It will help you with your inferiority complex. Once you learn yourself to look at the good things.. (1/2)

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable in your life and the good/positive things that you do, you'll be able to make progress with your inferiority complex. Because we're so used to only look at the negative things...This all may sound simple but if you start doing this you can make a game of it, like, how many positive things can you find in a day about yourself. And you'll slowly start to understand how awesome you really are :) (2/2)

  • Nice (: xx

  • I enjoyed this video a lot, it is linking to the DBT skills that I'm learning, so it makes a lot of sense to me. I would like to learn more items from the "what if" book, if you don't mind, and also if you have recommendations for inspiration for "what if" solutions and more info about how you made it, etc :)

  • @cinnamonroll9 First of all i want to thank you for that wonderful pm that you sent to me a while ago!! :D That was really great.

About the 'What if' book. I wrote a few things about it on my blog meandmyblacktable.blogspot.com but if you want to know more about it just PM me and we can discuss it if you want to.

Hope you are doing ok my BPD fellow :)

  • @Kathrynmovies Thank you my friend!!

  • very helpful

  • @nephilimchrist thank you Madeline :)

  • Why do we isolate ourselves and how do we break out of that?

  • @sweetcitybaby22 Well speaking for myself. I isolate myself to not feel anything. And with 'feel' i mean mostly social and separation anxiety. Inside it's safe and you know what you can expect and you stay in control. But there are many ways to isolate yourself of course and also a lot of reasons why..

  • amazing video, bas!

    i have a question....

what do you think it means if a person want to self harm, even when there arent any negetive thoughts, or even bad things happening to them? they just want to SH just to.. wel SH? is that when the SH becones an addiction? have you ever felt that way?

  • @cheerios0are0forever Hey Kylie, do you have enough of my response comments already? lol!

But hey good question for a video. We talked about this before, didn't we? It's very interesting! Do you want me to take the question in a certain direction? Just let me know. :)

    toedels!

  • Very very good video!!!!

  • @leighannenoelle Thank you so much Leigh-Anne!! It always makes me so happy to get a comment from you! thank you! :D

  • awesome video bas :)

  • Terrific video! I have become so much better at doing this. I find that I am more aware of even the more intricate, subtle thoughts and feelings that I'm having in the moment.

  • @Luv4Learning Hey Colleen,

Thank you! So great to hear that you are doing so much better at this!

  • Great video! Thank you.

  • Anxiety and panic attacs suck. I used to try and expand my intellectual horizons, you know, Hume, Kant, Kierkegaard, Locke, Plato, etc. Now all I care about is whether or not this or that person is mad at or is upset with me. It s like the limbic system has subsumed the cerebral cortex.

  • @MistertheSpike ha, i did the same thing. I knew for example Nietzsche by heart. But when anxiety kicked in the first time it was so much more overwhelming than Nietzsche, Kant and Schopenhauer together.

Hope you are doing ok with all you are dealing with.

  • So helpful as always. Thank you, your videos always come at the best time.

  • @jalvmxm No, THANK YOU!!!! ;D For that wonderful PM that you sent to me a few weeks ago!! That was so wonderful and interesting. I'll write you back as soon as i can, but i just wanted to let you (and i guess everyone else ;) )know how wonderful i think your message was. :D Really awesome!!

  • Yes I have to say this is a great video, nice editing!

I am the same I cant feel anger and dont know why, your explanation though rings true with me as well. Thank you for making the video :) xx

  • @MsScarredSoul Your welcome of course :D

  • I'd like to ask you someting. Uhm, a friend of mine stopped cutting a few years ago and he states that the feeling, the urge, never goes away. if it doesn't, does it mean I can't stop cutting? I always give in to the urge to cut.

  • @suus14 Hey Suus, goeie vraag! Ik zal in mijn volgende video het er over hebben. Zal dan een about self harm issues video worden.

    Gaat het goed met je?

  • You are excellent at making videos :)

  • @mkjartansson Well thank you Magnús!

  • Hey Bas, epic video! This is something I really really struggle with. Hopefully it can help me to do what you suggested :) Great editing too and I like the intro! Amy x

  • @mentalhealthhelpUK thanks Amy!! :D

We have a lot in common when it comes to our mental struggles, don't we ;)

But at least it feels good to share :)

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable Yes we do :p why the wink? I'm glad it feels good to share! xx

  • @mentalhealthhelpUK Oh, sorry Amy, i didn't mean to wink, but sometimes i write too fast and i write down a ; instead of a : so i meant: " don't we :) "

    Sorry :)

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable Ah it's okay you don't need to worry I was joking with you.... ;)

  • 2:23 How do you express sad or anxiety emotions after they've already passed?

  • @Candeeta4u Hey, good question! Well, in that case you don't talk with your emotions anymore, but with your mind. (otherwise it could still lead to extreme emotions on both sides) In the 'at a party' example you can tell one of your (best) friends how it made you feel without judging. And maybe they have good explanation for what happened. (1/2)

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable But the most important thing is that you tell/express what happened to you. You can ask your friend to think about your feelings before doing something like that again. You stand up for yourself without being needy or unnecessary emotional.(2/2)

  • @MeAndMyBlackTable Now that you've put it in words I realize I do that alot and it does help me :)

ty for the tips, they make me more aware of what I've been doing to downsize my anxiety

  • Thank you so much for this amazing video. You can't imagine how much that helped right now!

  • @xEvAnnie Your welcome Annie :)

  • *watching video -> focussing on emotion -> identifying emotion as: love for bas -> expressing emotion by: trying to jump into computer screen to hug bas (damn, result: bloody nose and cracked computerscreen, need to work on that last step)*

great great video by a great great person!

  • @DearFirebird Love you darling. Gonna write to you in a minute :)
