@ZebraStripeLova101 your cousin died because she made a stupid mistake, I'm sorry you lost your cousin and im sorry her family lost her, but im not sorry that she died an avoidable death by jumping over a railing put to keep her from falling into the water
This is what happens when people decide to break the laws which are there to protect us, it is so sad and so tragic. I'm prettys sure they would do things differently if they realized it COULD happen to them.
My heart goes out to the victims & thier familes. Very young victims. Given thier ages they were probably not as experienced hikers as Father Genard Lazar who was with the youth group that sad day. I'm surprised they didn't take a park/tour guide with them for the hike to Vernal fall's risky waters, instead a pastor. Lawsuit should go against Assyrian church of the East Youth Ministry a close-knit community of Assyrian Christians with roots in the Middle East who planned the & set up the hike.
I don't know how many friends would sacrifice their lives for me. I never even knew those young adults, but I will always remember them, knwoing what I know about them, they lived faithfuly, the died faithfuly, and they now continue to live faithfuly. As sad as this is, I believe they are rejoiced with the Lord up above. They are in a much better place than we are.
I just want to say thatas angry as I am about this, I am so emotional and heart broken even though they made a bad choice, it does not make this less of a tragedy. What fascinated me the most about this whole thing is that these 3 friends gave up their very lives for one another, I gurantee you the 3rd person could have walked away, but he was willing to sacrifice his own life and he did. They died for eachother..LITERALY. WOW
WOW...what a loss..That is just too bad. A big loss for Assyrian community!!! May they rest in Peace. Lord help their families, parents, friends and all their loved ones. The worst thing a parent can ever go through is losing a child. =(

Once I was invited to attend a church sponsored sky diving tour but I declined to go.
