I'm not completely sure about this for all you people that want to know how it's done but I think the way he does it is that if you notice he backs out at the side of the camera right before he slams his hand down I think when his arms are out of screen he puts in the knife make up and stuff and slams his hand down really fast on a completely empty cup, which is marked or something. Then he cuts the camera shots so you don't see him actually pulling his hand of the knife and if you don't think

@calbeeeeee It could just be a simple mark that you wouldnt notice unless you already knew about it, for example some Styrofoam cups have the company name sort of coming out of the bottom, lets say its something simple like PB, he could part it by scraping off a section of the P. not very obvious but if you know what your looking for u could find it,

After paying extremely close attention, the knife is under the cup that is the furthest away from him, which would explain why when he stops the spinning, he rotates it 90 degrees more (0:29) before slamming his hand down. If he hadn't, that would have been a real knife through his hand, and not a fake one.

I saw it too he flips the knife in his hand twice, then opens it as he opens it you can kinda see the blade of the fake knife sticking out of his hand but becuase of the angle it looks like he is holding in his knuckles. Its pretty clear to me despite poor video quality that at that moment you see two knife blades the visible distraction blade and the fake trick blade on the back of his hand.

Dear god people its a MAGIC TRICK. We know its fake, they all are. Magicians are tricksters, they use sleight of hand and distraction to make you think something has happened when in reality something completely different has happened. Its a neat trick, and for shock value if you aren't overanalysing things it works pretty well. Imagine seeing it on stage or something, where you dont have a chance to rewind the performance 20 times to reanalyse it.

1. Too much blood on the back of the hand too soon.

2. The original knife handle was too big and didnt match the fake knife through his hand
