How a car works:

In the first days people actually used a horse. They rode them, and went places.

Then people got cars. Now cars have wheels that turn by way of a combustion engine. The pistons move around giving you power to move the car. You steer the car using a steering wheel.

Then there are hybrids. These have electric engines, not gas. But they are essentially the same. They look like a car, but can be sometimes bigger, and sometimes smaller.
