The beating heart thing...and the way it was hanging in chains...it totally reminds me of, in Sly 2, when you go to steal the first half of the Clockwerk Heart. In there, the red glow was due to pumping special spice that heightens one's ability to be hypnotized. And for me, it totally makes sense for it to be in GTA. Why else would the people there act as they do? BRAIN-WASHING!!!!

I don't know if this is later on in the list, but in Crash Bandicoot 2, Cortex gives you instructions at the beginning of the game. If you enter the first level, then exit without a crystal, Cortex will actually call back, and he'll be angry. And he'll keep talking to you every time you exit the level without the crystal. It's pretty funny xD
