I love the song for all the deep meaning you can feel when you listen to it. You can feel the seine carrieng away the leaves and you can see the couple walking over a bridge. Thanks David Lanz, I love it.

This was the first song i ever learned on the piano when i started teaching myself back in October of 2010. now i can play several of his pieces. i'm now learning vesuvius and before the last leaf falls. all in all i can play about 5 of his songs, including pachelbels canon. i love David Lanz's music. There is no sadness in this song. He wrote it for his wife when they were much younger. It is about their romance.

I truly enjoy all of Lanz's music, but this one has always been my favorite. I plan to have it played at my funeral, but not because it is sad....I actually hear a great joy in it. Possibly my favorite single piece of music.
