My dad weighed 12 pounds when he was born in 1933. Back then, I don't think the doctors had the knowledge to do C-sections. This poor woman must have been in some serious pain.

On a different note, I had a complication after my daughter's birth in 2001. After she was born, my placenta did not detach from the uterus. The placenta and the uterus came out together!! wow, I thought my baby was huge when he was born, mine was 9 lbs lol. mayeanth, his birth weight doesn't really determine if he'll become obese within the next few years. It all depends on how you feed your child and how active you keep them whether they'll become obese or not. My son was a larger than average baby at birth but for over a year now he's been on the skinny side. The doctors aren't concern because he eats right.
