i have a similar problem with you. i don't hibernate my laptop but the fan does the full blast thing whenever it feels like it! it's happening at a rate of 4 or more per day now. i contacted lenovo and they told me to do a factory reset.
Hey... thanks... I actually saw the updated comments today itself... I have a case open... but it seems they are shying away from doing the required maintenance... I am hoping to get a call from them any day now... let see.. thanks for the post...
I had the exact problem from day one of getting the laptop, didnt bother to send it in. Later there was a problem with the heat sink and it kept over heating. I sent it in after that, They replaced the heatsink as well as the mainboard. Just got it back yesterday, everything seems good now and this problem hasnt occured again.
@apurvsingh23 Hi! No problem. Read the updated post! Sorry for the late reply. I was on vacation after my graduation and did not want to deal with this at all. Hope this helps and they will solve your problem too! Let me know if you have any more questions. Do they have a case for you yet?
u just figured out now that lenovo sucks? they customer service is ridiculous, and their software is full of bugs, some so obvious, its amazing how these things get passed engineering, i can only assume a bunch of highschool students work on these laptops.
i wish i can manually turn it onto full blast
everytime i play a game i crash in like 20 seconds and overheat cause the fan is not turning, and no i am not in silent mode

Hi, thanks for posting this video... this really shows the problem.
I would like to know if you have received any fixes / replacements or any suggestions to correct this problem from Lenovo?
Please post your reply here or on the Lenovo discussion forum.
