Cheap copy?!?!? Wtf! Are you retarded? You can get a k98 for a $150 last time I checked. This is a $700 gun, and thats on the low side. Yes it dose use k98 design, but a cheap copy? Come on. For a out of the box hunting rifle this thing is bad ass. I have 2 Remington 700's and a 1939 k98 and I would take one of these over one of those any day. The post 08 model 70 is better than the pre 64 IMO.
@kenyanblast If this is your first rifle and your are going to limit your hunting to deer and boar, a 270 is hard to beat. On the other hand, if you think you may hunt elk in the near future, I would get a 30.06 or possibly a 270 WSM. That is not to say a 270 is not an adequate choice for elk, I just like the extra pentration an .06 or 270 WSM affords. This is all from personal experience. Good luck, and I hope you knock down a wallhanger!
Made in the U.S.A., can't wait to get one in 30-06, any good suggestions for a scope? I'm leaning on a redfield 4-12x40.

Kenyan go for something that is fun to shoot, applicable to deer and boar and you can find ammo everywhere for. .308, 270, 30-06.
