and EXACTLY. The bassnerds out there should be HAPPY with Pete- the further you play up the neck, the purer the tone of the instrument.

honestly, i can't disagree with them on the pick issue, since i'm a guitar-player and not a bassist, but whenever i do play base, there's some songs that just sound better with pick,

Its cause no one is doing to lower harmony part that pat also sings on the record, kinda the only problem FOB face live. like they need pete or John to be able to do harmonies and sing the other background lyrics then it would sound as good as in the studio, btw how awesome is patricks harmony in the "sharpening the knives of young wices" line in the screamo bit, gave me shivers lol

Um no, I'm sorry but it was more than a few lines. What I'm assuming you're referring to is the singular phrase "Tear catcher", which is used in the FOB song "XO". Had it been just that, maybe it would be less horrendous.
