Imho, this version is far superior to the one Suzanne Vega did. It kinda sucks that one is so much more popular, there's a lot of emotional weight it misses out on.
I like the singer and love the song but the cadence of the song is bugging me... I feel like I'd have liked it a LOT if I wasn't so used to the original.
