  • P.S. It is the idea of Wagners "Ring" to make a new performance! New and new and new and new...Wagner is not only the "beautiful music". Wagner is the whole! It is an idea of theater and maybe religion. Greetings

  • Not bad, but the Bugs Bunny version is superior.

  • where can i see this live?? anyone knows??

  • Call me a purist or old fashioned, but I like to see the staging serve the music and not the whims of costume and set designers. The Rhine has no coffee tables and lounge chairs, no matter how the heck you look at it. Fortunately, with these productions, the music tells the story, complete with visual effects.

yes, this decadence started in the late 80s. today it is almost unbearable. the only good thing they cant change the music.

  • For me two it was the best I ever saw and heard!! And I saw it live a lot of times. I would be so glad to get the Japan HDTV-recording.

  • now ? klap klzp klzp

  • let me favor the odds. i loved it ;)

  • @Adastra14 Thanks \0/

  • Oh My God. Yet another piece of crap staging of Wagner's beautiful music. What the hell WAS that?

  • @jgesselberty

Well, THAT was one of the best productions of Das Rhiengold EVER. But that's just my opinion, of course.

  • @gslanfranchi I agree totaly. i saw the whole Lehnhoff-Ring svéveral times in Munich and it is my best Wagner I saw ever. I am still looking for DVDs of that. A Japanese Company filmed the whole Ring.

  • @jgesselberty

    I like it

  • @jgesselberty

Please, that is a very conservative performance of Wagner. I think it should be able to see Wagner from a new point of view. Nobody wants to go in a museum and see old fashioned Viking-Costumes. That is a dead Wagner.
