When I was little, We must have watched a lot of programs on NBC, because I remember that Peacock very well.Plus we had a color TV as long as I can remember.
This opening bumper [Mel Brandt, announcer] appeared at the start of virtually every NBC color program from 1962 through '68 (that fall, a slightly shorter version was used, through 1971).

I loved this intro from the first time I saw it as a young boy, only I don't think I would actually see it in color for several more years.
