they gotta remake the shining force timeline. they already did for shining force: the great incantation -> resurrection of the dark dragon.. they gotta remake these stuff, its addicting!

ONE thing I dont get. DArksol is the boos. Why is he strogner than he was in number 1? IN number 1 he was so weak? AND yu have MAx on yur team who shood slready be stronger than him. ALso later in the game, yu get Odd eye. Odd EYe was as strong as VUlcanon who wasa stronger than DArksol. SO why is DArksol stronger than Odd EYe in the game? Also, is VOlcanon really that weak for a god?
@havindatpaper Gameplay taking precedence over story. Game would be way to easy if you had Max as strong as he was at the end of SF1 in this game when he joins your party. Same if you had Oddeye as strong as he was in SF2 here. Also, keep in mind that Final Conflict is before SF2 and after SF1. Darksol may have gotten stronger, and Oddeye perhaps was not as strong here as in SF2.
@havindatpaper You never actually see Darksol himself in Shining Force I. Darksol was still sealed away in Arc Valley at the time, so presumably what you fight in SF1 is just Darksol's spirit placed within a human host body - nothing compared to the real thing.

@devgibsonje You definitely do not recall correctly. The three Devil Kings, as identified in the original Japanese script, are Lucifer, Darksol, and Zeon, and the mistranslated SF2 lists them as Dark Sol, Dark Dragon, and Zeon, so I don't know where you got Dark Dragon, Lucifer, and Zeon.

why are the graphics worse then on the original SF? wouldn't it have been simple to just copy the old graphics or better up make something better. SF2 got better graphics.

It's all tied in. Kane (SF1) was controlled by the mask, and is also Max's older brother. Kane's son Ian, is SF2's hero's (Bowie) father. Yes, that is the same Hawel that teaches Kazin in SF2. And the leader of theifs (cant remember his name) , his "assistant/2nd in command, becomes King Granseal.
Odd eyes is awesome and so is Max.

Here's the chronological order for Shining Force games:
Shining In the Darkness, Shining Force, SF Gaidens 1 & 2, SF Final Conflict, Shining Force 2
Shining the Holy Ark and Shining Force 3 are in a separate timeline.

SMRPG is obtainable via vertual console on wii, and Chrono trigger has been ported onto DS and brought to europe for the first time.
