I'm thinking about buying one of those mesa boogie 2x12 cabs. The one I'm looking at has 70W Celestion on top and a 200W EV (ElectroVoice) on bottom. Not sure what you're using, but do you think it would suffice for NOT metal but a harder rock and even stuff as light as paramore type sounds?
i'm not familiar with the liquid, but the normal principal is first setting the midi controller (liquid pro) to "talk" to the midi rack unit (tc) on the same midi channel channel, via both units' midi programming menus
i.e. midi channel "1" enabled on both pedal and rack unit.
then once this is accomplished, you should be able to step on the pro in preset recall mode, and watch the tc switch presets too.
the next step is mapping and storing specific effects to specific foot buttons
whats the best effect processor for 1000 euro ??? important is that i need a good distortion and overdrive which not sounds digital ! play numetal and metalcore , please help
there are preamp type drives in it but they are not worthy of plugging into a clean power amp--pretty brittle-- and are recommended to shape a preamp signal coming in to the gforce
i'd suggest gtr->triple recto->fx loop out to gforce->gforce mono out to recto fx loop return
and if you had another amp, send the second out of the gforce to that amp's fx loop return for stereo power!
yes, i used to do this with my mono coyote rig, but i put a compressor pedal and other favorite pedals in front of the gforce which helps lift the input level
this method increases noise because you are hitting the amp input with a ton of stuff, and the gforce noise gate is in front instead of after the amp, but to me the gforce responds more dynamically in front than in the loop
the whole point of stereo is to help create a sense of space, right? so why do you have your amps side by side? you dont even get the benefits of it that way...
this is just one of the many stereo rigs i've pieced together over the years.
this was eggie set clean
drive and chorus pedals in front of eggie
eggie send feeds gforce
gforce out in stereo, left out to eggie return
right out to mojave coyote input(coyote set clean)
people ask for my gforce settings but i don't hand them out because i don't think that matters as much as the combinations of amps/setting, guitar, tubes speakers and effects dialed in to a specific rig and room.
are you running the g force in both amps effects loops at the same time and then switching back and forth between amps? If so, what are you using to accomplish this...no one seems to have a product that will let me "share" my g force with my 2 combo amps effects loops.
after you hook it up there's no time left to play.....time to go.....bye

Are you running through both effect loops? And if so, how are you inputing into two amps at once with guitar?
Thanks

do you need a preamp to use the tc electronic g force, or can you just hook it up to a solo head, say the mesa boogie triple rectifier?

the gforce is an effects unit.

Can G-Force Connect
Guitar -> G-Force input -> left output from G-Force -> input amp (set Clean or little crunch)?

have you ever heard of a ghetto blaster?
that creates stereo imaging with speakers a few inches away from each other. trust me it sounds wide.
stage space, phase reduction and tone density.

nice rigs man, very well done, notthing like stero amplification
queensryche8723 2 years ago
the scary part is this is recorded with a mono camera mic yet you still hear the benefits of the stereo clarity.
the rack is a discontinued skb ps-100. that thing has been asked about as much as any piece of gear in my demos!
maybe they should rerelease it!

can you tell me what rack mount was that you have for tc gforce

Hey Mentoneman, could u please explain how u play in stereo with the g-force?
Sounds awsome....

egnater send feeds gforce input, gforce stereo L out goes to egnater return, stereo R out goes to coyote front input (no loop)

Are these the presets or settings you came up with?? PM plz and let me know
RLuteran 3 years ago
they start out as presets and then get tweaked to be voiced better with the amp and guitar and pedal i'm using.
my biggest tweak is dynamic delays and verbs on most things to create more room and space
mentoneman 3 years ago
also i use the g-force and the classic radial tonebone:)plug in a roadking combo.bye

So do you have both? That would be great if you could demo those two. I'll bet a lot of people would like to know how they compare.

Fantastic pristine tones - your demos are always very good and you're a great player. Does TC's g system sound as good as the g force?

I hope so
