  • You don't seem like someone with ADD. More like a sleepy German person advertising meds for money.

  • @ksionc100

Don't think I was sleepy (that's probably just my mumbling and lack of experience in speaking English rather than writing it) but I'm Danish and assure you that I have ADHD and have never recieved money for advertising anything lol

  • holy shit i have add and with the music I can't focus on what you are saying!!!! AHHHHH!!!

  • very nice video .thanks. i also have ADD. it may be a gift but i'm still suferring cuz my family and most people around doesnt understand me and how hard is it to deal adhd-related problems?well u know what when i make widoes i also use music as a background.it is cool and makes me feel relaxed i guess:D.. all ADD people add me cuz i think all add'ers should unite cuz no one can understand an ADD person except than another ADD person -( there might be some exceptions but u know what i mean )

  • It is very hard for anyone with ADHD to concentrate on more than one thing with distractions as they find it hard enough without any so music (loud or quiet) is a bad idea on a video about ADHD likely to attract people with ADHD.

  • could you PLEASE switch off that music: my brain does not make enough dopamine to filter the music from your speech, so I get a headache straining myself trying to listen to you. and I really want to hear what you say, but I can't because of the music. Is this a joke? You must know that ADD people can't hear this

  • @Orbit620 I think it is a joke, he's trying to screw with our minds

  • @Orbit620 Agreed. Could't concentrate on this for more than 2 minutes even tho it sounded interesting...

  • Hi, I would just like to say that add/adhd is not in no way a disorder. there is nothing wrong with you! i was diagnosed with this so called add/adhd and luckly for only one day i had to suffer thinking i had a disorder. if you go to your local library and get a book called.. "attention deficit disorder - a different perception" by Thom Hartmann you will discover something incredible it is not a disorder it is your species. Einstein,Edison, martin luther king, benjamin franklin & many more had it.

  • @danrooney101

While there are many skeptics, ADHD IS a disorder, one that can be greatly helped by medicine. Just because there are many false diagnosis of ADHD doesn't mean it isn't a disorder

  • @danrooney101 why do people talk like its a desise XD its a gift, those media crap makes it like it bad lol

and all those ppl on youtube talk like :( yeahh blabla sad

  • @danrooney101

i read that book it was cool . actually it was the first serious thing that i read about ADD and that's how i found out that i am really ADD.. great book .. thanks to Thom Hartman- everybody with ADD or without should read that great book ....

  • @danrooney101

    Please die.

  • I can relate to a lot of what you say. I just want my life to be easier and less stressful... I am going to get assessed soon. Maybe meds will help. Sounds like they have been positive for you, no?

  • @elvinsimontheodore

Yeah, I have much more mental energy and it's much easier for me to concentrate because of the meds

  • Hi there. The music is way too loud & it's too fast for MY ADHD brain to focus on what you're saying. I really can't hear what you're saying because of the volume of the music.

  • the song is very disturbing..." I think I have...YEAHHH!!"

  • Jeez, turn that fucking music off next time.

  • Please redo this upload WITHOUT the music I cant focus on your words. Thank you.

  • would very much like to listen, but since your music is too high I get distracted. voted down

  • I know I have something wrong with my brian cos of how different I am from pretty much everyone Idk what I mean the last time I felt normal was in primary in year 5...

every one seams so different from me...

  • i had to watch it 4 time, the music was great, but very loud lol, however great video, i start adderall 2moro.

  • i think i have ADD...ever since i was little i could never focus on anything

i always had trouble in school..i got thru highschool just barley

but now im realzing that i might have ADD

when people talk to me i cant pay attention to what they say and i forget it all

i cant remember birthdays, i been playing guitar for 10 years now but i have never learned a full song cuz i cant focus n learning one thing i get so distracted and go on to another. oh plus i day dream random stuff alot lol

  • @Nightshade1881 me too and idk if i have add =D

  • i have no idea wat ur sayin. can u make a new vid? i have add and wanna kno wat ppl have to ssay about it. plz and ty

  • thanks for posting, but the music is far too distracting.

Especially considering you are posting this for people with ADD hahaha

  • Nice touch, can't focus on music, can't focus on your words, it's all blurring into a cacophony of different vocal and instrumental sounds. It's a bit unsettling, but hey, it's fucking art, fucktard.

  • I just can't listen to you and the song at the same time!

  • I !!!!! can not hear a ,one , word you say because of the music bacK ground so what needs you to say bullshit ???????? do you have something to look into my head?? do you know how I feel ?? watching spoken word with a lot of noise at the back????

Do you know how it realy works??? NO I think you have adhd not add!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So put your video again Without music(shit) ,but do not attac me because I cannot listen to a text with a lot of loud angry music in the back.

  • @viool2you

I admit that, when making this video, I didn't make sure that the music weren't too loud compared to my speech, but hth can you view this music as angry?!

  • I am glad for you that you can do all these things at the same time and listen to music .Do you realy have add??????????????????????

  • I cant hear ur voice in the musik...

it seemed to be interesting, but I definitly need a quite backround for such vids.

  • I believe you but I cannot listen to what you say because 2 things at the same time ....youknow is tooooo much for me.The same with all the disturbing radio or documeteries with music'background'

  • the music disturbs an add person,if you can talk and listen at the same time you have no add

  • @viool2you

I added the music after making the video, I weren't listening to it while talking

  • @viool2you bullshit i can listen to somebody talk while listening to music while reading a book. and the next moment be distracted by my own fantasy story that has nothing to do with any of the previous things i mentioned.

  • it was impossible for me to concentrate on you allthough i really want to know what you have say, maybe an upload without genesis, i really would be pleased, keep me informed, please, greetings F.

  • For the person to post the video. Don't see yourself us handicap person, you have a challenging condition, you just have to learn how to control it to be able to achieve your personal and career goals. I admire my husband for his academic achievements, so ADD have the potential to learn what ever they decide to learn. And I advice to look for other kind of treatment to work together with medication. Also diet. There is a lot of info in the internet now. So invest a lot of more time searching.

  • The relationship with a ADD couple is stressing and sad. It is very important for me to listen to other people with this challenging condition to help me understand better my husband and to prepare myself to continue helping him and my two daughter even if we are considering divorce.

I must clarify my early post about the difficulty to love my ADD husband. I better say it is difficult to support, help and trust him.

  • I really interest to understand what you want to say, but the background music was a big distraction. Could you please make the video again without the music? My husband has ADD in it have being very difficult to love somebody with this problem.

  • I have been diagnosed wit add but i think this video is somewhat (trying) to be dramatic about it.

  • Man, I wont really have to share my story. I reconise myself with what youre telling 100% Every episode you described within this video I've been going through. Im 22 now, waiting for my diagnos to be ready. Still not been treated differently, not by anyone. People call me lazy, unfocused. And I feel depressed. But Im optimistic... And good hearted. I wont give up, I'll try to find a way to live my life, in a way I can feel truly happy. Thank you for this video, it inspired me allot :)

  • i have an appointment with a psychiatrist i have to bring her some papers i dont where they r lol

  • i was a ritalin kid, rebeled against taking meds, teachers ,authority, took a long time and some good teachers and cool people along the way who took the time to make me believe in myself.FOLLOW YOUR HEART AND YOUR INTERESTS,HYPERFOCUS ON WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT AND SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOOD PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN THE SAME. WE (ADD PEOPLE) ARE SUPER CREATIVE AND THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX . " GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE ,BRILLIANT MINDS THINK DIFFERENTLY"

  • agree,same here

  • I think you forgot to turn off your music

  • Im had an appointment with a Phycyatrist a few days ago but i missed it because i forgot, i was so focused on working on something that i forgot about it. I get in trouble alot because of ADD

  • me too

  • i can't understand or focus on anything you're saying.

  • right on brother im 24 now, my story is so much like yours and im just discovering this myself for the first time.... watching your vid has been a liberating experience for me...

    thank you

  • You're very welcome, understanding ADD is the most important part of dealing with it for those of us with it as well as anyone we know

  • I am now 50.

And have been taking medication now for 2 years.I always knew i had adhd, but managed it.

It took a year at various phyc

    Before i went on medication.

Thank you for your personal story-

your music made me hyper though>

  • hey whatever ur name is, ur a cool guy, i identified completely with you and ur droning voice. Thankyou beautiful man. x (I'm a girl lol)

  • Not that it matters, but my voice doesn't usually drone heh. Thanks for the kind words though, I bet you're a beautiful girl yourself ;-)

  • i don't know about anybody else but i could never keep still in one place i could never concentrate . i could never finish a book . i don't know if i'm just lazy or i have a.d.d.

  • if you are just lazy, keeping still shouldn't be a problem hehe. Also, concentrating and finishing things are amongst the things that are difficult for anybody with ADD, so I think you should talk to your GP about the possibility that you may have it, then he can refer you to someone that knows how to find out for sure

  • hey T, you have described my childhood, i'm nearly forty now and thought i might have add. your video, is the missing piece for me that confirms it. thanks mate for being generous enough to put yourself out there to help others..if it makes those years any easier to bear you should know even if this is the only fruit that is borne from that period it is more than most people will ever contribute to the good of others, you should walk taller knowing this. take care friend , warm regards pete

  • That's the best praise anybody can get, thank you for telling me :-)

  • Sorry man. The music is ruining your video for me. I can't concentrate on listening to you. Actually now it's starting to annoy me. I can't watch this all the way. I'm out.

  • That's kind of the point, multiply that by 4 or 5 and you have ADD. This is what it's like on a small scale.

  • Yeah, it was a pretty bad call to let the music drown out my speech too much here and there, especially when people with ADD have trouble enough focusing and sorting input already.. I should have fixed it before posting, sorry about that

  • Awesome song.. wouldn't think to hear it in a common video. I have ADD and I've sat here for 13 hours trying to do a sociology report and I only got a paragraph done.

  • 1982. have you tried smoking and or Ingesting Marijuana? I've never been diagnosed But I know I have it, But Since I started smoking weed everyday. I feel like I just keep getting smarter now and Learning.

I refer to Getting baked as getting Keyed in because It puts me in the Zone.

  • trust me mate u aint lol.

ive got adhd n ive been smokin weed everyday for 5 years.

it wernt until da last 2 months were iv cut down loads dat i realised it didnt do me no good at all!

  • i've lived with ADD all my life too. thanks for sharing your story. btw, AWESOME choice of music. one of, if not my favorite songs ever.

  • who do you see to get meds.

  • my psychyatrist

  • You can so tell when someone has ADD if you indeed have ADD yourself ;) Hey YOUTUBE, I think those that registar ass ADD should get more character space for comments ;) Nice video Tourn . . You seem like a Genuine guy :) I'm creating informational ADD site. No really . . I AM :) I wont spam my URL yet ;) Good Job and remember to keep things ADDCOMPLIANT ;)

  • Talk about things playing in the background I had my TV on & I then realised it was one of those crappy infomercials with women talking with such conviction about this skin product making them look younger & more beautiful & I thought how can people get away with this how has the advertising industry monopolised authenticity with a watered down spam version. The world is crazy we need more informative videos like tis not infomercials.

  • I completely agree about the commercials and thank you for using my video as an example of something better :-)

  • Thanks for sharing your story! I also have ADD, but because I was intelligent and had ADD without hyperactivity, I was not diagnosed until age 26.

  • I don't remember whether I said so in the video (and can't watch it to check because I can't get flash working in spite of everything claiming to work) but that was the case with me too, except I was 20-21 at the time they found out. Does that make you 5-6 years smarter than me? ;-)

  • Either that or 5 years more inattentive! ;) What really was the final straw that broke the camel's back was moving into a single apartment. With no roommate to help keep me focused, things went downhill fast.

  • same here. I moved from my mom's house to my own apartment at 21, about a year after being diagnosed. It was fine at first but then..

  • I'm with you every step of the way. There's so much I want to say in response to that, that I simply cannot put it all into a comment box; so expect a video response within the next few days.

I'm glad the Ritalin is working out for you.

  • correction: I stopped being hyperactive and hot-tempered in early adolescence. The other symptoms are still present today though, although Ritalin's lessened them cinsiderably.

Also, it seems that there's a few places where it's hard to hear what I say due to my speaking volume being too low compared to the louder portions of the song. If you miss something just tell so here in the comment or send me a msg and I'll fill in the blanks.
